The North Terrace is no place to take kids to watch football if you are going to worry about that. What do you mean by this mate? Sounds like people shouldn't take kids into that part of the ground if they don't want them squashed? If that is what you mean....how about the pi555ed up blokes being the problem, not the kids at the front? Children should be safe along the front wall right?? I was more referring to the swearing and general behaviour of fans in that part of the ground. But yes, You understand correctly. If you don't want some watered up idiot barging into your kids, dont go into a section of the ground that allows and tolerates watered up idiots! Of course the kids are not the problem! You know me well enough to know that if I had my way the whole ground would be family friendly! I'd be a complete w**ker if I were in charge of it! But I do understand the need for adults areas. My point was that as a parent you should be well aware of what is a likely possibility of taking your kids to that particular part of the ground. There are plenty of situations in life that you would not expose kids to because of the bad behaviour of stupid and selfish adults. Some kids are more switched on about their personal safety and how to deal with being in the North Terrace. I am certain that if I took HTY there it would put him off Rovers altogether. If every area of the ground was like it I would be the first to complain but we are lucky in so much that the Mem has several quite distinct sections where the varied needs of its fanbase can be met. Maybe the club should ban U11s from the North terrace or something?

Sorry Hugo but I think that post is utter garbage, you make out that the blackthorn end is like letting Michael Jackson babysit, you get swearing wherever you go and also idiots wherever you go. My children were like I said in the south stand before and we're getting bored with over all atmosphere of the game, all I pointed out was that there seems to be a few assholes creeping into the ground when we do well and I gave an example. I'm not exposing my children to bad situations it's called real life , banning under 11''s from the south stand ? Are you serious ? We would have even less future supporters if everyone took this attitude in general life all the scum would have a free fun to do what the hell they like.

I think the stewards could do more to protect regular fans from the drunken few but you know what to expect in the North Stand right? It is what it is.

I agree completely that people deliberately causing trouble should be asked to leave by the stewards. Again you say you know what to expect in the north stand ? In my opinion it's a great place to watch football, you get to know all the other regulars and tend to all stand together young and old. Nothing in life is 100% safe , you could just as easily have a few nutters rock up to the south stand one Saturday just as you could anywhere else in the ground.

Yes it is a great place to watch football as an adult and I have had many happy seasons there but it's not somewhere I would take my little lad just yet because of exactly the reasons you have outlined.

Although I didn't sing the 'richer than you' chant. I dont think it's that bad most chants are 'banter' and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I've heard a lot worse things ring shouted from the terrace I agree most chants are indeed banter, but I think "we're richer than you" lacks class. Our new owner doesn't feel the need to shout about his bank balance because he has class. It's a real shame we can't all follow his lead IMO. If we rise up the leagues off the back of the al qadi's investment i'd like to think people would look on and think "good for long-suffering Rovers" because we've gone about everything the right way from top to bottom, not remembered as the smug b*stards who were up themselves as soon as they had money. Quite right,WAQ is humble and we should be too.

And when was the last time you saw anyone removed from the ground for it? I have seen a few over the years but not for sometime. Ideally people having had a few too many should be identified before coming through the turnstiles...ideally being the keyword.

It made me cringe looking up at wael when it was sung, you could see him asking the bloke next to him what was being sung Just a thought but seeing as he supports Chelsea, he may have actually heard all of this rich chairman malarkey before?? And,shock horror, found it amusing and even joined in with a little chant now and again? This morale high ground being taken by some Rovers fans is more cringeworthy than the ' banter' being chanted on the terraces. Chants on the terraces at opposing fans..take them to the gallows!
