I see that Dwane Sports is registered as a company in Jersey rather than the UK.
Are there any financial bods who can explain the advantages of this - as simply as possible please!

The Teds have been quick to pick up on this, and are suggesting that we are no better than their very own Roger The Tax Dodger. They have conveniently overlooked the fact that Dwane Sports are a newly incorporated company whereas the evil emporer moved his domicile to Guernsey with the specific intention of avoiding his own UK tax liabilities. I believe this means he can only visit the UK a certain number of times a year before he is considered a resident, at which HMRC would be looking to speak to him.
I suppose we could start a "spot Saint Sir Steve" competition and send our sightings to the Revenue. That should make his life interestingly!
On another note, why Dwain Sports? Surely they could have come up with a less chavvy name than that. Apologies to any Gasheads with that first name!

Perhaps the owners - who I guess live offshore - had no choice but to register their new business offshore?!!!
Must be a coincidence that it will save a bit of tax! At least it's not the Cayman Islands!!!
We can keep an eye on Lansdown from their as well!!!!

Companies need to make a profit to pay corporation tax don't they? Optimistic of City fans to think Rovers could start turning a profit any time soon...
There was a programme on the BBC not long ago about the Cayman Islands, the reason many multinational companies register offshore is to create an intermediary, in order to not have to pay tax in both the source country of investment and recipient nation.

Not a problem for me personally. Starbucks, Facebook etc make obscene profits and pay ridiculously low tax on it. We'll be lucky to turn a profit.

Surely you could say the same for companies like Ford etc but they register their UK operation in the UK, we really have moved on from old BRFC run by local business men, mainly as a hobby.

I used to be good at maths so maybe someone can help me.
Non domiciled Jordanian national + new company + loss making football club = no tax plus no tax plus no tax equals no loss to HMRC.
UK domiciled individual pays tax in UK moves offshore equals what net difference to HMRC?
Identical scenarios, obviously.
