Thought we'd be hitting 8500 by now with the recent run, hope for the future and all the positive publicity.

It looked more than that and the 50/50 was £1250 which usually indicates a crowd of around 8500. I reckon someone cocked up the maths!

The attendance figure looked about right to me although a few hundred less than we might have hoped for. Having said that we've had 3 home games in the space of 12 days so some people would have to be selective in which to attend.

Given Tuesday's gate I'm surprised we didn't hit 8,000+ particularly given the good weather as well, although the roads around the Mem were quiet, had everybody decided to do a bit of gardening/DIY and then watch the rugby?

Were averaging better than I can remember for years even in league 2.
If we stay in the chase, we will be selling out the last few home games.

Out of five of us who watched on Tuesday, I'm going to guess that only two attended yesterday!
I played golf yesterdat, one lad lives in Scotland so had gone home(!) and the other has only watched 2 games in the last 30 years (he enjoyed both games and will come again!). 60% of us missing!!!

3 home games in 12 days is very expensive if you don't have a ST. No offers given, but club had plenty of time to keep on reminding us on website & twitter to buy our tickets.
Att for dons & Mansfield were both still pretty good. Not sure what more people can expect. I suppose Mansfield att may have psychologically seemed poor to some because it was hardly bigger than dons.
Re - was the official figure right. All i can say is that on the blackthorn the Crowd seemed very very similar for both games.

The away end was pretty empty too yesterday.
8000 is a good crowd for L2 football.

Given we nearly had 8,000 yesterday would making any offers really have boosted the crowd by a significant amount, I very much doubt it? As if fans want to play golf, do the gardening etc then knocking a fiver off etc admission prices isn't going to attract them, and then the club losses the fiver for everyone who did turn up and pay.

Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum, What might be right for you, may not be right for some. A man is born, he's a man of means. Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans. But they got, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. Everybody's got a special kind of story. Everybody finds a way to shine. It don't matter that you got not alot. So what? They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine and together we'll be fine.... Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world, yes it does. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

It's not just about attracting the same old supporters who might want to do something else on Saturday, its also about enticing new ones who might choose to go to Rovers instead of doing whatever they do.
I too was surprised we didn't hit 8k yesterday.

35-45,000 are happy to sit in good facilities....only 5,500 are prepared to stand with 1970's facilities. That is probably the bottom line.

Are all ST counted towards the attendance or do they only count the ones actually attending?
