Not in my eyes it wasn't. You said exactly the same v Hartlepool in the week. No mention of the win or performance.

Oh come on. Everyone knows it's a poor attendance considering our sleeping giant/bright future status. Unfortunately humans are creatures of habit so at this moment in time it's going to take a bit more than a mini surge to encourage the stay away potential fans. Local football plus other things means that many gasheads have better things to do and that trend has been the case since I've been following Rovers from Trumpton.
Its good numbers for LG2. It's good numbers for our average. It's poor numbers for those who see things from an alternative angle.

Seems to me we are getting short of things to complain about if this is the best we can do.

This is true and also higher than city's best ever season in tier 4. But then rovers have a higher best average crowd in tier 3 already and div 3south. So slowly taking their claims of best support away.

Seems to me we are getting short of things to complain about if this is the best we can do. This is a joke? Our matchday attendance is an extremely serious issue which in turn relates to the health of the club. Did you think Taylor's performance was a bigger issue or parking around the Mem? Supporters concerned about sub 8k crowds after 4 wins and our highest league standing in 9 years are fully entitled imo.

Take away the Olly failed promotion season, when we were near the top for most of the season, and this is on course to be the highest average gate since the late 70's, and it'll probably be a 1000+ higher than last season's impressive average.

The traffic problems and parking around the mem are probably as much of a factor in our attendence as our league position right now. As is the amount of home games in quick succession, half term just gone and Easter round the corner. Then there is the facilities on offer, which are basic at best still. There are many factors that govern attendance. 8k wasn't bad. Of course we would all rather see it packed every week but its not that big a deal right now.

Whilst the attendance was good, I thought that the good weather plus a pulsating match Tuesday evening may have pushed the attendance to around the 9k mark. I do, however recognise it was the 3rd home game in close succession, conversely the nice weather may have persuaded some to do other things, and there was the small matter of the rugby to persuade the less enthusiastic follower. Plus the fact it is a nightmare, to get to the ground. Coming from Portishead, I park a good way down a road that runs parallel with Welligton Hill, from where it is a decent walk across a couple of busy road. Plus I have a lot of sympathy for the residents who get their road clogged with bumper - bumper parking.
The BBC doesn't publish crowd numbers on the results page anymore, I wonder what the crowds were in Leagues 1& 2?

You fear the UWE won't be any better if all the stadium traffic has to leave via the McDonalds roundabout? At least Saturday was a pleasant walk to the ground.

Our second best average attendance in my lifetime and I've supported our team in league 1 and the championship.
