He'll be gone by July. If we don't go up this season Mansfield will have him. If we do go up this season Bristol City will have him. half each?

In terms of supporting its local clubs Bristol can't hold a candle to Sheffield and never will. Apart from that you're bob on.

I reckon they would have been feeling the same emotions as us back then. But they have not progressed.

Well considering that Sheffield Utd have spent more than half of their existance in the top flight including a season in the Premiership and even at their lowest ebb they were well above us it is hardly surprising. They are better supported because they have a fantastic heritage as do Wednesday. I am sure if rovers had enjoyed as much success throughout their history they would be equally well supported.

Our lack of success, infrastructure and history is why we've been bought.
Wael wants to make a club in his own image and we provide a pretty blank canvas where even putting up a scoreboard is seen as a major success.
The only way is up for us.

The odd thing is with the quarters, pirates, irene & gasheads we probably have a stronger image then most league clubs, the other club Wael was interested in, Gillingham, probably has zero image in comparison. The canvas isn't actually blank just some great marketing opportunities for our new owners.

Yeah, that's a good point.
"Pirates" and the kit has massive potential.

How sad is that, that a £15,000 scoreboard excites people....
