I must admit I just find it hard to believe we could go on the sort of form that appears possible on paper. Aside from Northampton, every single game is very winnable. The toughest probably being this weekends 2 tbh. Unreal really. I just can't see us not slipping up at some point. So with this pessimism in mind, i hope someone else slips up too!

I put us to draw at Carlisle and Stevenage, not because I don't think we can win there, but because, as you say, we are bound to slip up somewhere... Aren't we?... Also I put a defeat to Northampton but when it comes round I honestly think we can grab a point from them, confidence is high and DC has us playing really well. I also thought we'd slip up at Newport so maybe, just maybe, we can do what was the impossible just a few weeks ago? There is always a team that storms through at the tail end of the season and we are most definitely the form team. Also if you try looking at it from a neutral point of view at remaining fixtures surely we have to be favorites for third now... dare to dream?...

Every game is winnable but we will slip up somewhere - that is inevitable. Its just a matter of how many times.. For what its worth, I think that if our confidence is as high as it is at the moment , we will beat Northampton as their supporters seem to be suggesting that they have lost a little bit of edge. They almost slipped up at the weekend but got away with it by the skin of their teeth. Against a better side they would have lost.

Not sure how we 've to got the two, likely relegated teams in our last two games, plus also Stevenage in our remaining fixtures! 1 Northampton Town Northampton Town 46 29 12 5 77:42 35 99 2 Oxford United Oxford United 46 25 14 7 75:37 38 89 3 Bristol Rovers Bristol Rovers 46 26 7 13 63:38 25 85 4 Accrington Stanley Accrington Stanley 46 22 14 10 67:48 19 80 5 Leyton Orient Leyton Orient 46 22 14 10 62:51 11 80 6 Portsmouth FC Portsmouth FC 46 20 19 7 69:40 29 79 7 Plymouth Argyle Plymouth Argyle 46 22 11 13 56:38 18 77

Looking at the last 4 seasons of league 2 after week 37, we are bang on target with 65 points. Teams who had this haul at this stage promoted in 3rd place with 84 Plus points so 84 historically should do it.
Northampton 101 Oxford 87 Rovers 87 AS 81 PA 79 LO 78 Pompey 77

Clearly I was too harsh, Rovers ended up 5th for me, with Accy making 3rd. Northampton 109 Oxford 95 Accy 91 Plymouth 88 Rovers 86 Exactly the same as me. I don't think that is too harsh, just goes to show how easy Stanley's run in is.. Stanley have picked up 8 points in the last 6 games. They have another tough few weeks coming up with a small squad. I think they will fase. Leyton orient h Newport a Cambridge h Luton a are their next 4 fixtures. Leyton orient and Luton are flying at the moment.I prefer our fixtures to theirs.

Oxford 5 wins from 8 games Rovers,Accrington,Plymouth 6 wins from 9 games
At least 2 of those 4 scenarios will happen imho. That almost certainly rules out anyone from Portsmouth downwards as they would need to win at least 8 of their final 9 games.I think we will need to win 7 so not a lot of wiggle room.I believe we will do it.
will have a crack at the predictor later.

I got us to get automatic promotion along with Northampton and Oxford. Accrington, Luton, Plymouth and Portsmouth in the playoffs, Dagenham and York to go down.

I've tried to be as fair as possible, I honestly can't see us dropping many points though, a combination of us hitting top form at the perfect time and just looking better and stronger and more together as a team/squad every week, I think there's a real steely determination in them to get this job done and take us up. Edit : Looking at it again now though, it seems I've been a bit generous maybe with results for the teams in the top 6. I'm not doing it again though.
