Like the guy and has a good track record. Here's a controversial one - if and when DC moves on Harry for the Gas job because of his contacts ?

Hope our new owners had nothing to do with appointing that twat. Still it's the end of the emergency loan window so he has a chance to do some wheeling & dealing.

would love jordan to do well, but redknapp!!! I recall him on radio 5 many years ago going on about how he had made a fortune backing stephen edberg in tennis during his career. Then during his trial going on about how little he knew about gambling!!!

Am I the only one who really dislikes 'Arry? Funnily enough I used to think that I dislike hin because of the way that he comes across in the press and on the telly but I was fortunate enough to meet him fairly recently and spend some time with him and he is a really nice guy with a good sense of humour. He is a bit of a "jack the lad" seems to be addicted to his phone though and constantly reads messages which made me laugh bearing in mind that he told the taxman that he could not read and write. He also looks 10 years younger than he does on the telly.

I bet Pompey & QPR fans love his wheeler dealing!! Given Wael's knowledge of the English game I'm surprised he's been allowed anywhere near their national side, although I assume he can't take do much wheeler dealing with their players!

Am I the only one who really dislikes 'Arry? No you're not., and I'm not fond of his son either, the idea behind that 'Icon' magazine he set up was puke inducing.

How anyone can say Harry Redknapp has not been successful is beyond me.
5th place in the Prem with West Ham. 9th place in the Prem and an FA cup win with Pompey. 4th place in the Prem twice with Spurs, a Champions League place and Prem Manager of the Year 2010.
Given the size of clubs he was managing compared to budgets of Arsenal/Chelsea/Man U/Man C, he was a bit of a legend. He had his failures too, but so do almost all managers.

Agreed, also one of the best man manager type of managers over the last decade or so, clearly players liked playing for him and would bust a gut for him, very much like our own DC in that respect I think.

I don't really like the guy but I think he is a pretty useful manager, does seem to be able to get the best out of players.

Regardless of size of club, look at the players he was signing and the money he was spending to do so. Pretty much bought the FA cup and as for his time at qpr dishing out 100 grand a week contracts to centre backs was ridiculous.

Surely though this was a problem caused by the owners/board ,a manager will spend whatever amounts he is given and always try to get more if he can. Its not the managers job to run the club finances.
