Orient beat us 2-0 actually you're both right aren't you? lost 2-0 in pornland and we won 2-0 at mem. Deebs is just picking his stats :-) We beat them 2-1 at The Mem. I dont think our form has been poor against the top 8, considering we have beaten the teams sitting in 2nd, 7th and 8th, and drew twice against the team in 4th. I would say average at worst

I hope that Rovers get automatic promotion, but the last 5 wins have been against bottom half of table teams and the last 9 games include Cambridge,Carlisle and Northampton...then 'derby' games against Exeter and Yeovil..even the last 2 games against lowly York and Dagenham could see them already relegated with the pressure off of them..so a run in that could be more tricky than it looks. 18 points out of a possible 27 should ( I think) see Rovers promoted, but it might be very close, lets hope that York away isn't a rerun of Dover last season,if they win they are promoted,I hope that its sorted by then. Wimbledon are top half and Mansfield were when we played them... True enough.Wimbledon would have gone ahead of us on the night we played them if they had won.

Promotion now would be too soon for us. Our ground couldn't cope. Our fan base still has an amateur mentality. Promotion once we have our stadium and a professional setup would be better. Can you have standing areas in LG 1? Wtf is that about? gashead79's humour is as dry as a dried-up thing in a dry place on a dry day.

Hope Im wrong but reckon we could come unstuck tomorrow and we all have a melt about how we drop out of the autos. That said, I reckon playoffs are nailed on and from the interviews the lads and dc look well up for it, we are in with a shot of the autos by season end.

True enough.Wimbledon would have gone ahead of us on the night we played them if they had won. exactly. as much as I love stats, there are problems with them, such as your example above. Unless people have a very good memory, a very good database, and / or lots of time, quickly working out where teams were when we played them, and doing the same for the rest of the division, would be a tall order. BTW - Orient were top when we lost at their place. And I think Ply were top when we drew at Home park. I think mansfield were well above us when we beat them on their patch.

One person may point to a good home win, whereas the other person will point to a poor away loss... lies, damned lies and statistics.

Wimbledon are still in the top half. Not only that, but when we played them they were on a good run of form and pushing for a play off spot. Part of the reason that they have dropped down the league is because they didn't get points against us. The same could be said of Mansfield. Newport maybe in the bottom half but, when we played them, they were flying in the "10 game" form table. We shouldn't underestimate the achievements of our last 5 results.
Every game from here on in is a potential banana skin but the same can be said of the run ins that Oxford, Plymouth's, Accy and Portsmouth have.
There will be twists and turns along the way but we can do this - one game at a time.
To contradict another post on here - we are ready for promotion - and how great it would be to build for the future from a basis of League 1 and not league 2.

While we occupy a top 3 place every game is a potential banana skin as anything but a win could see us drop out. On the other hand it's in our hands and if we win our games we don't have to worry about anyone else

I admit that I made a mistake by saying lower half teams,I should have said lower placed teams and with the exception of Wimbledon not that great teams. I was trying to make a comparison with the poor performances against some of the teams above us before the winning run,Accrington,Portsmouth and Wycombe. I really do hope that automatic promotion can be done, the thought of play off games against some of the other contenders is not a good one.

The thing is BRFC are likely at some stage to lose a game or have a draw or two .Expecting constant wins is unrealistic and unfair. Fans need to be ready for this and not over react ,just dust down breathe deep and crack on with the next game.
