You gotta love DC and fair play to the team. Great save by mildy. UTG which save ? If it's from the header - again you have to question why he doesn't even come 6 yards out to take a cross ! I'm still worried he's going to cost us a few goals because he is cemented to the goal-line. second goal a cracker - great cross and header ! And Taylor class again for the 3rd - he almost walked it in - and stroked in with his left - great to see !

He spent most of the second half complaining about it to the ref and linesman.

Some great saves indeed from Mildy. And that long pass from Gaffney to Taylor was utterly awesome

I've wrote a letter to Darrell inviting him to my adam Johnson tribute night. I love him so much I think he'll enjoy it.

That save from Mildenhall... Incredible. The strength in Mildy's wrist must be immense to have swatted that ball away. The referee had a chat with a few of us after the game and he said what a brilliant save it was.

I didn't pick up on the saves at the game but incredible on re watching.
Credit to mildenhall - told to look elsewhere, worked for his chance - got it. Boom.

I would like to add that if I was a Bristol rovers player, just hearing his opinion on loan singing (along the lines of "we would have got quality and experience of we could find it but my squad is good enough") I would be incredibly confident and motivated.
DC is a very canny and clever chap and, being honest, wouldn't you want to come play for us right now? It must be a brilliant dressing room - it's plain as punch this team play for each other.
One question to ruminate on is "are we getting the most out of our playing staff?". The performance we have seen from the reminants of Buckle and McGoos team and semi pro upstarts has been phenomenal . I'm just too young to remember 1990 with any conviction but I hear that team was more of a working unit than a collection of individuals.
Not every, but most signings have been free agents or very cheap, and nearly all have improved the squad. Remember when the best we could do was washed up Scottish drunks and sick note harries?
I'm literally beaming with happiness with how good it is. I am accepting we will secure playoffs and possibly lose, so this is not just a temporary thing. You would have bitten the proverbial hand off forplayoffs and regroup next season at the start of 15/16. My big fear is that if we don't make it, the impatient, negative crowd returns. It's a long game and we sjould be just happy we are a dominant team in our league.
I noticed today just a few groans when one of our players made a mistake. It irritated me as we are now a team who needs to try to open teams up - we are picking for promotion and need to try to win every game.
Players need to be allowed to make a few mistake as the ones they get right win matches.
anyhow, get in with the 3 points and onwards and upwards gasheads!

Do you expect/ would you expect a 6ft 5 keeper to take any corners/crosses if they are aimed in his direction/ near his goal-line ? compare how many crosses Cambridge keeper claimed ? It was also interesting, a friend of mine, who goes to an occasional Gas game commented during the game - "Why doesn't Mildenhall ever come for a cross ?". Sometimes neutrals see things us diehards don't

Sometimes neutrals see things us diehards don't May be it's a confidence thing. When he was first with us, Mildy would regularly come for balls into the area, often as far out as the penalty spot. Didn't always get them, but he still kept coming for them. Perhaps as form and confidence has returned to the shot stopping and distribution side of his game, so will dominating in the air.

Perhaps it's a defensive organisation thing. How many goals do we conceded from crosses ? How many goals do we concede full stop for that matter. If our defence is good at dealing with crosses then maybe our keeper is better off in his goal not trying to tear through a mass of players leaving an open goal.

I hope so - but at the twilight end of his career perhaps not. He has certainly looked very solid with his shot-stopping - so hats off to him for that.
