Win here and I really think we'll do it. They're not going half as well as they were and I think it's definitely a winnable game.

Unfortunately in reality if Northampton win next week they will seal promotion automatically. This has got to be a massive incentive for them to give one last push. Would take a point.

That could work against them the pressure. They will go for it but they will leave gaps. Very winnable

Even though their form is patchy they still haven't lost since dec 19th.

I am looking forward to this game, for me Holmes is their danger player, stop him and Rovers have a good chance. He made the difference at Pompey 2 seasons ago,to be fair though that was because Smith got injured,I think that DC will play Leadbitter and J Clarke next week.

it will be interesting because they are a team more suited to scoring on the break.

Clearly I know nothing since I thought we'd draw at best today. But my latest gut feeling is that we'll win there. They've already won the title in all but name and they're clearly easing off the gas.
(See what I did there)

Got an odd feeling we'll win this one then lose to either Stevenage or Exeter.

This one reminds me of the Hartlepool game in 2007 as a defining game. If they win they could seal the title, If we win we could be on our way to league one. Absolutely massive game.

After we played them at the Mem on the opening day and they beat us quite comfortably we had people on here telling us that we'd lost to a very poor side!

Agreed it was like a poor game of chess with both sides just feeling each other out. The pressure and intensity of next weeks game will make it very different and we can come home with the 3 points. I think Sky have missed a trick by not televising it.

I think Sky have missed a trick by not televising it. To be fair to Sky when they chose the fixtures a couple of months ago this fixture looked far less attractive than it does now. Although you do wonder why they overlooked the Pompey v Plymuff march, which has always looked an attractive game between two of the biggest clubs in this division.
