Just win them all. Job done. Exactly how i see it, there no reason why we cant beat all the teams, just need to go out and perform, have done it for most of the season lets keep it going. Our players must believe in themselves.

I am quite nervous about the Yeovil and Exeter games as Yeovil are virtually safe and will be more relaxed than our boys more so if we come unstuck at Northampton where even a point may not be good enough to keep us in top three, also Exeter have really good away form so both of these games are going to be really tough just being realistic. Utg ! Does being more relaxed really help though? Surely we have enough about us to beat a mid table team starting to think about their summer hols after a difficult season? I know we can always refer back to Mansfield in similar circumstances but we're cr@p when it came to that match. Exeter could be a real test if they are still in with a chance of the Play off slots, but every time they get close they usually seem to slip away like Luton have recently.

Luton have one of the worst home records in the Lge. must be very frustrating for their large home crowds. we know about that though - our 2nd home win wasn't until our 16th game (overall) of the season.

Third place is ours to lose, no team can take it from us. Our fate is in our hands and I believe this will make all the difference.
I think we will make it. UTG

There will be lots of twists and turns over the next few weeks. I would be amazed if we were still in 3rd place at 5pm on Saturday. But I will also be amazed if the other candidates don't drop points unexpectedly in their final games.
One thing's for sure, it will be the most closely contested promotion spot out of the top 5 divisions. Whereas a few weeks ago we only had one tough game out of the last 6 we now have two with Exeter on an incredible run towards the playoffs including an impressive away record so I put our chances the same as Accy Plymouth and Pompey (so a 1 in 4 chance) - I think we can forget catching Oxford.

Why forget catching Oxford? If they fail to win at Crawley and we pull off a win at Northampton we'll then be level on points? It's far too early to call any position decided other than the top stop. Although Plymouth's remaining fixtures/recent form suggest they'll now do well to get a top 3 spot.

One thing is for sure ,the psychological effect that BRFC beating Northampton would have on the teams competing for an auto spot might be significant.

Everyone could slip up hit bad form and 2nd and third might limp over the line or we could win 5 and miss out. Lots of football to be played yet.

The only that could happen is for Plymouth or Accrington to also win all 5 and draw the another game whilst we lose plus Oxford to also win also 5 games or there be a combination of those results, I think it's safe to assume that won't happen!

I hadn't thought about it that much but your probably right. With 5 teams with six games to go the possibilities are pretty much endless was my point. Whatever happens we should all be proud of them that i do know.

Hmmm - let me think 7th bottom going into the last game of the season. How did did that go again? I assume nothing!

To be fair, I was looking earlier and over the last 5 seasons, the points gained for 3rd spot from the 40th game to the 46th was on average just over 10 points. Very consistent too, range was something like 9 to 12 points.
On paper, it looks like it could be close, even at 85 points for 3rd. But there will be twists and turns, maybe even for us. What I'm saying is, I'm very doubtful all teams involved will pick up the points everyone expects them to.
