I share Huggy Bear's opinion regarding the site: It is not the best but it does serve some purpose. It is not a dead loss.
I feel that although current items are updated a little sooner now, they still take too long.
I had a feeling that the website might be updated as and when someone was available to do so and an earlier post seems to confirm this. That would explain why items that are maybe not so newsworthy do not get updated/removed at all, e.g. Alan Gow injury. I would suggest that someone should be given the role of webmaster and the time to keep all aspects of it fresh, whether that be an existing member of staff or a new position specifically created. If it was to be a full time webmaster then they could use the rest of their time to deal with the other Internet aspects of the club, such as the Twitter account. This would seem to sit with the new regime's endeavour to become more professional as a club/business.
Regarding the point of this thread: I must say that I assumed it was that Fanboy had been approached by someone at the club due to his and his mates' initiative with the podcasts.

I think it's a dreadful site. Clearly designed to generate advertising revenue not to give the user a good experience. What the idiot designers don't understand is that if you make the site great, people will use it and then you can generate revenue. I hate it, I have a shortcut that takes me straight to the News page. I haven't visited the home page for months as its a complete abortion. I rarely, if ever, go any further than the News page. Aberration, blame yer phone! The website sucks, hope Wael and Co. buy out the contract and give the job of making a new one to a graphic designing Gashead. A simple wordpress site would be so much bloody better!

Not a great IT fan personally and using websites leaves me cold and feeling very under skilled. I voted on the middle one because I always thought it was a generic model that all league clubs use and that Rovers are tied into it because we are a league side. If that's wrong then I apologise. It's not great but I do find some stuff on there esp match reports appear quite quickly. But as others have said player profiles are so out if date as is ticket stuff. Once you have our views what will you try to do? Good luck with it but if we are tied into a contract or whatever, can Rovers do anything? I bet the premier league teams have better websites!! Strange isn't it how our website is mediocre but our Match Programme is fantastic and one of the best in the country (Premier League included). Good job they're not generic. It shows that if we had to rely on our fans or people genuinely interested in Rovers our website could be one of the best. After all when you see what some of our independent film and video makers can do I bet they could put together a very good website that reflected us as a club. Anyway good luck with all your efforts. UTG!

9:48 Sunday 10th April 2016, about 15 hours since final whistle and no mention of what happened at Sixfields. I retract my slightly positive comments! But it's not normally this crap
