To be fair to the forum only one poster said Taylor was useless. Apologies, you are correct, it was DC that was clueless but I believe that he got unnecessary stick on here and also the terraces. You see nothing comes out of negativity only negativity, it is good to debate a topic but there is a big difference between that and moronic abuse. Not sure that follows as it seems positivity has come out of negativity? How knows if everybody just accepted Taylor missing easy chances he may have never put in the extra work on the training ground to eradicate the one weakness in his game? I guess our forum is no different from any other club's, when we lose everything is negative, when we win/have a good draw everything is positive.

I should imagine he put the extra work in training to better himself, well done to him and MS, the work has paid off but I doubt it was because of some posters on here or his doubters on match days. Think negative and it will be, think positive and the world is your oyster or is that lobster, ha.UTG

Hi guys, Hearts fan here, i notice we've been linked to Matty Taylor and now our manager has confirmed he is someone we are looking at, what sort of level do you think this boy is capable of playing at? I have to admit I've seen very little of him but his goalscoring record appears to be very impressive, do you think we have a chance of signing him or will bigger clubs than us be after him, just looking for some thoughts from you guys. Cheers.

Why not mate, we're building a nice looking squad at the moment, potential for challenging Celtic next season plus European football.

Cheers. He would do well in the SPL. I think it'll come down to finances in the end. What sort of money do Hearts players earn? He's on about £1k pw now. We could probably offer him £2-3k pw if we get promoted to League 1.

Some of us always had faith in him , but let's propogate the idea he's poor amongst his potential suitors - i'm sure his scoring rate is always going to make people take notice if we are honest.

We could probably offer him around 5k I'd imagine, we've never been blessed with a striker who bags 20+ goals a season for many a year so this boy interests me, others have said they're not so keen seeing as he's late (er) 20's and playing in a 'diddy' league, we'll see, my gut feeling says he won't be coming to Hearts.

I reckon I could score goals in Scotland, and I am almost 59.

Already signed for Hearts! if you knew the truth behind this story you would laugh. And why would anybody want to go and play in a league that is lower quality than the one he is in now? if i were him id rather be at hearts, pretty sure they've nearly confirmed european football next season and they can offer him more money. i'd be very sad to see him go though, scored 25+ 2 seasons in a row if im correct?

As I understand it, he has signed a precontract with Hearts for £3k per week on a three year deal. If TL goes as well, we really will see what our new owners are made of. The only hope we have of keeping these two is promotion, short and simple.
