It's all about the football for me and probably the majority,if we're doing well and I love going If we're playing sh** I still go but ask myself why? But that's normally what you get watching us,this is probably the most exciting time I've known watching the gas for 35 years so if it is about the facilities they are not true fans Next season is massive,if wael gives DC some money to spend we could challenge again There will be so much pressure on DC if he gets some money, people are expecting him to do well now with all that's going on this could prove a season in whether he can do it at a higher level I think he will and he will be the next Eddie Howe hopefully with us:) Utg What, so if I decide not to go because I don't have a heated cushioned seat and a complementary chocolate underneath it , in your opinion I'm not a true fan ?? haha no I would say don't sit down mate your get melted choccy on your arse

I suspect that forum users are already sufficiently connected to the club to be reasonably impervious to our poor facilities. It is the fringe followers who attend rarely, or not at all, who are more likely to be drawn in by better facilities. New stadia with better facilities produce bigger crowds and which with a successful team, produce a virtuous circle. You are falling into the same trap a number of other listers fall into. This forum doesn't represent our fan base. How many on here regularly attend, and of those who do, how many are likely to read this particular message? There is no relevance to any of it. If you can afford to buy a season ticket, you probably will.If you can't you can buy one monthly. Many people will not buy one for any reason. Who cares. At the end of the day it's the match attendance the matters, and we make more money from pay on the day than any other. As others have said, the figures aren't relevant until the end of June when the existing seat season ticket holders have to pay up or give up. I don't know how many there are any more than anyone else who have yet to renew. I would suggest that almost all if not ALL. will renew. I can't think why anyone who had a seat season ticket last season wouldn't want to do so this year. What I was told in the shop was that if everyone who can, renews their season tickets in the stands, there would be three left in the Dribuild and Just under 40 in the West Stand. So it looks like there will be no seats available on match days. We we have sold out all corporate hospitality for the whole season, and 16 of the 18 boxes are sold out for the season. The other two have to be retained to cover issues like helpline etc that allow a meal in the boxes on occasion. Approx 100 seats in the Dribuild are retained for corporate hospitality bods who have a seat as part of their meal package, and the seats in the South Stand which are kept for match by match in case of issues like moving away fans etc. In short, it is brilliant, and long may it continue. I'd say the majority of regualr posters on here attend matches, apart from the obvious ones who live aboard? perhaps somebopdy could start a poll? As far as "who cares" about fans not buying s/t surely Wael cares as a s/t purchase is cash upfront plus it "locks" fans into attedning games etc even if we struggle next season. As far as amking more money in the day that could well change this season if we sell 6,000 seaston tickets as it means some games we'll only have 2,000 pay on the day fans and it seems all those will be buying terrace rather than the more expensive stand tickets.

I agree with gasincider, this forum is probably the least representative cross section of fans!
Most of us go to games and most are very engaged with the club.
In answer to the question about facilities....
My wife is very disparaging about the Mem. It's 4 crappy stands that don't match. The toilets are portacabins. The program stands are a tin box. The shop is tiny and inaccessible on match days. The clubhouse bar is too small. The views are poor in most parts of the ground. The tannoy is sh**e. The music is naff. The parking is a joke.
She came to 2 games last season. I've no doubt she would be tempted to come to a lot more games if we were in a better place.

To be fair she's done her homework on finding other reasons not to go. Just jesting but you walked into that one

I think there is a case for revenue increasing in different areas when you have more season ticket holders. Its psychological, once you have bought and paid for the ST its almost like you go for free, so I tend to head for the shop and buy the grandkids stuff which I wouldn't buyif I had to pay on the day .....just a thought.

Totally agree. I guess I spend £10-£15 quid every home game which I know I wouldn't if i had to pull £40 notes out of my wallet at the turnstiles.
