"But I do think its going to be well worth the wait" Suggests its going to happen and it's going to be better than we hoped for.

"But I do think its going to be well worth the wait" Suggests its going to happen and it's going to be better than we hoped for. Does it? 25 years I've been hearing the same sh**. When I see a crane or a couple of dumpers doing something stadium related on land that has sommat to do with us, I'll join in with the optimism..

I'm getting a little frustrated at the lack of any real news on the stadium. I know this is not politically correct, and everyone will attack me for daring to say it, but way-hay. Press releases and interviews do not build stadiums. Time marches on and we're still at the Mem for a long time to come.

Press releases and interviews do not build stadiums. Time marches on and we're still at the Mem for a long time to come. I would suggest we are looking at another 3 seasons at the mem, any changes will require new planning permission which will drag on for another 6 months. Any downturn on the field in that time and people will rapidly lose interest. Every bit of news flow we hear is regurgitation.

I do share your frustration, but for me we were always going to "start again". This is due to the totally different position that we find ourselves in. I also think that they are finding lots of issues that they didn't know about whilst finalising the takeover.
No one will know for sure why/what/how but they are obviously doing it their way....

Once this season is out of the way...whatever the outcome...focus is bound to move to the stadium. We will need more than airplane undercarrage analogies, rather a proper status update with likely timescales. A summer of silence or sound bites without substance and people will rapidly lose patience and then faith.

Not sure any of us want the cub rushing into spending £40m+ on the new stadium w/o checking everything is what we really need and also try and come to some agreement over the freehold? Although I've not heard any suggestions the club will have to apply for new pp? Assuming we start work sometime in the next 12 months then hopefully it's only 2 more seasons at the Mem.

Blimey, Topper. Everybody complains that we haven't got scouts - now you say we've got a cub!

The Rovers finally have people in charge of the club who appear to know who to run the club correctly. The original agreement with UWE clearly was one way traffic in their favour and the Rovers team are doing what's best for Rovers and altering the agreement more so in our favour. Also wanting to buy the land outright is only a good thing; spending £40 million on a build and you don't own the land and the revenue streams are not all yours is not good business sense. Forget previous new ground attempts which fell by the wayside, these people are not Dunford and Higgs.

I'm happy for them to quietly get on with it and tell me when they have something interesting to say, and only then please. Don't know about you but I find our on pitch antics a wholesome distraction from the years of mediocrity on the pitch and amateur efforts off it. Whether we go up or not won't change that. I don't see the stadium as optional but feels less urgent and certainly not worth rushing if it means it's not right

Really? That sounded like a threat, to me. Did it? Weirdo. i agree, sounded like 'we can always build something else on the land if the deal doesn't quite meet our criteria' not so much a threat but a nudge.

"I remain optimistic it will come together" On a scale of 1 to 10 where's optomistic, 6 or 7 but not as high as certain? that phrase seems like something you would say if thing weren't going quite to plan.
