From what I heard on Saturday, we needed to sell a few more away tickets to trigger a beamback. Could still happen folks? How does that work? We got a beamback for the Cambridge game and that wasn't a sellout? I was repeating something I heard on Saturday, I am not or ever have been an employee of the club. The organisation of such events is are done by professionals, not a part-time fan such as myself

FYI - My bro lives in Leeds and a local work colleague wanted to go to the match with his dad, in York end. Just wanted to see an end of season match.
They bought tickets online.
Now had an email saying all internet sales have been cancelled, including theirs.

York also seem to think this is like the Alamo. This is staggering. Earlier in this thread there is a mention that York have given extra seats to away teams in the past. Why not us? Judging from the way tkts have dribbled out this week the demand is clearly not high; just a few more maybe. what's the big deal? No beef, no history. Nothing. York don't need a result to stay up. www.yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk/news/article/message-to-ticketless-bristol-rovers-supporters-3084297.aspxMessage To Ticketless Bristol Rovers SupportersLive beam back to take place of weekend fixture... DUE to demand, York City and Bristol Rovers have agreed, in association with the Football League and ADI, to beam back this weekend’s Sky Bet League Two fixture at Bootham Crescent to the Pirates’ Memorial Stadium. Bristol Rovers sold out their allocation of just over 2,000 tickets for the away sections of the ground earlier this week, and as such, this option was negotiated to accommodate any Rovers supporters unable to attend the game. York City encourages any visiting supporter not in possession of a ticket not to travel to Bootham Crescent as there will definitely be no away tickets on sale on the day of the game. Any Bristol Rovers fans attempting or found to be in a home area of Bootham Crescent for the game will either be refused entry or ejected from the ground, irrespective of being in possession of a ticket.

Do York get any profits from the Beam back? Do rovers get to keep all the profits or is it part of the agreement that they have to share it with the home side?

So if I turn up on the day without a ticket do you think I'll have a problem getting in the home end? I also have a Leeds address and a Yorkshire surname, as it goes, but I know feck all about York if they ask me any questions!

I don't know, but istm the point of the restrictions on the beam back (sell out, etc) means that the home side will have made all the money it possibly could out of the game, before it will be allowed. Don't see how they should be entitled to more.

Just someone who wants footy fix on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty sure if you befriend someone and remain impartial there would be no issue

NOTHING bad is going to happen. As my other post said, there are, and will be, local people who do genuinely want to just watch a game of football, and what could well be the last FL game at the Kit Kat. To refuse people entry to a 'nothing' match sounds crazy to me.
