Brilliant for us today but we were so close to despair. Let's be classy enough to wish Accy well over the next few weeks - imagine how they feel tonight. UTG

Yeah, similar-ish situation to us last year, and we made it.

Sooner Plymuff or Pompey go up so we have another localish game. Also not sure I fancy us losing twice to Accrington again next season!

Funnily enough, I'm just sitting here, scratching my "what nots" wondering who I'm going to send my best wishes to.

Would love for Accy to go up, realistically even given our poor record against them they would be the team most likely for us to take points off next season.

It will be harder for them. They were in the promotion position, we were chasing (as we were last year). They will be totally deflated, especially as they thought they were up, and their manager was spouting off about their "achievement" being better than Leicester's! With Pompey's injuries and suspensions, I see a Wimbledon - Plymouth final with Muff winning

... and their manager was spouting off about their "achievement" being better than Leicester's! That might have been the worst bit of psychology, ever.

Definitely good luck Accy. Then Wimbledon, then Plymouth. All good sides. Would rather Pompey stayed down another year.

Accrington have done brilliant this season and may yet get promoted. From a selfish point of view I would prefer Plymouth or Portsmouth to win the playoffs there are more than enough northern clubs in league one at present !

The absolute arrogance shown by Plymouth this season was a joke. Their forum pasoti was full of people believing they had a right to promotion right up until they choked. I think they could do with a reality check. Portsmouth were exactly the same. Accrington got a bit cocky themselves but to be fair they were massively unlucky today and its hard not to feel for them after a phenomenal run of results. I dont think Wimbledon are really in the same calibre as the others so an Accrington win would be my preference but they'll have to work hard for it in the playoffs. If they do win though it will feel so much sweeter after their disappointment today. As for us, like DC said, we deserved that bit of luck today and deserved promotion. We were the most humble of the 3 contenders for 2nd and 3rd. I think its what we learned from being in the conference - you have to earn your biscuits, and I think that mentality stood us in good stead. Up the gas, literally

The two halves of Wembley will look interesting if it's a Pompey v Accrington final.

I'll always support the highest placed play-off team.
They also sent out a very magnanimous tweet congratulating Oxford and us.
