My first game was in 1983 and I think that today is likely to be number 1 in best games ever. The whole stadium was rocking throughout, the East Stand was definitely the loudest I've ever heard it. Reminded me of being back in the Blackthorn end. God knows what it must have been like in the middle of the North stand when Lee Brown scored! As we left I told my daughter to remember this day, as this sort of experience in football is very rare.

Since 5pm i have 2 ribs removed rejected by 2 bars (they must have known if gas were promoted it would be a gashead glouscester rd) and partying since still going not slept in about 24 hours now it's party time (I still can't believe it)

The disbelief of what happened yesterday at the death is purely because we just never get that rub of the green.
We spanked Dagenham, should have hit double figures, it just wouldn't go in. Couldn't help but think back to the Mansfield game and said to myself that it just wasn't coming.
There's those that will say they knew it was coming but I don't believe you.
Those scenes were born out of sheer disbelief that it's finally gone our way when it mattered! I will never forget that moment. Ever.

For me, that was the best moment watching Rovers. All the sh it we have been through makes it all the more incredible. I never thought we would top the Igoe moment and then Mansell smashed in that penalty. This was even better. To go from frustration to euphoria in a moment was better than anything else life can give you! For it to be Lee Brown as well, you honestly couldn't write it.

I have been at the highs and lows experienced by all true blues at Eastville, Twerton The Mem, The millennium stadium and Wembley. Nothing compared to our experience yesterday. Forget the premier league and european football played by prima donnas with plastic/corperate supporters. It means so much more to watch players who give everything for the club they love and watched by fans who are truly loyal and part of a unique blue family. Friday i was watered off as i had no ticket. Friday evening birthday card from son with tickets for the game. Absolutely the best day ever.

All time high for me. Doing it at home felt so much better than our Wembley triumphs and I wasn't there in 1990. Amazing on glos road last night. Total joy right down to Zetland road as I staggered home - that's a mile long party! No need for bus tours etc, we nailed it and celebrated all in one go and boy does it feel good this morning

I doubt there's ever been a better time to be a Gashead for most of us?

Barry hayles header in 98 v Brentford is close to this IMO.
You can't rank these moments. They are one and the same. Hayles 98, 2.5.90, Andy rammel Oxford...igoe.
All invoke the same emotion.

Still can't recall anything as dramatic, when Igoe scored we were already 2-1 up, if Mansell had missed his pen we still had another chance, but if Brown had missed yesterday I doubt we would have got another chance, plus we were also relying on Accrington not scoring/winning late on.

Totally agree, add to that capacity crowd at home in the sunshine plus great pubs on Glos Road

I wasn't there, so 2nd May 1990 was up there, along with the game at Blackpool a few days later.

I wasn't at the game, so I was at home watching Soccer Saturday and during the final minutes I opened up Bet365, brought up our game and the stats were just phenomenally in our favor, 89th minute and we were 7/1 for the next goal. So I clicked the deposit button, entered £50, and then I pussied out and closed it just to be interrupted by Jeff Stelling interrupting Phil Thompson about a minute later saying "I HAVE TO INTERRUPT YOU, THERE'S BEEN A GOAL AT THE MEMORIAL STADIUM"
They went over to the ground and the camera was shaking and everything. Looked mental and gutted to have not been there.
