On November 24th we lost at home to Stevenage 2-1. It was their first away success but we were no strangers to home defeats - our record then being: played 9 won 2 drawn 1 lost 6. If you'd have told me that night that we would finish the season holding the division's record for most home wins jointly with champions Northampton I'd have given you a very strange look!! 14 games left, 13 wins and 1 draw. That was some turnaround in home form. Magic! Glad I was there to witness most of those!
There are a couple of teams that have done the double over us (Pompey, Accrington) that will be bewildered as to how we could have finished above them....we might have been able to show them if we had played them away first and home second. Never mind, I get the feeling we will have the opportunity to show one of them that next season, as I think they will be contesting the play off final.
