Mildenhall Keep at reduced rate. I think underestimating Mildy was DC's biggest mistake this season, and one he was lucky to get away with. Istm Mildy's professionalism and the fact that he'd still 'got it' was one of the main factors in our promotion. Think how many points Lee Nicholls cost us, and how many more of those points we could have afforded to drop (he dropped the ball again on Sunday, as well, to hand Barnsley a play off place). I'd be wary of losing him. I'd also be wary of insulting him with a worse contract than he's on atm, in the context of our League position and his contribution to it.

Istm, if we got in a new, up and coming, very good keeper, having Mildy on the bench would put us in a position of strength. But then, I rate Mildy higher than Puddy. And if we don't get a new keeper in, then we really need Mildy (and Puddy).

Other than the number of games where he made some fantastic saves that kept us in games and led to us winning a number of games at the back end of this season.

Mildy got a lucky break in his first games back were Dagenham away (came on late and did bugger all), AFC Wimbledon away (they went down to ten men early and again he had bugger all to do) & Orient at home (an impressive 2-1 win where Orient rarely threatened). That helped him get his feet back under the table. Mildy has been solid all season but he's made few saves that change/win matches for you.

Last time, our promotion winning team was eventually broken up and replaced with players generally from higher leagues on big contracts which started our downfall.
That's not to say we wont need experience but I hope DC keeps looking for the promising players in the lower leagues. It doesn't always work out but then the deals are never that long so they can be released the following summer.

A peppering of new talent is the way forward, players like Walker coming up from non-league fit that bill with one or two others bringing in experience and composure alongside youthful hungry players.

I think we should've kept Chapman who looked more than good enough and provided me with a lot more confidence that Nicholls and at the time Midenhall. That being said Mildy was excellent when he came back in but I would still be looking for a number one and keep Mildy as a number two.

That's a bit harsh on Milders as he's made some brilliant saves and not really cost us any obvious goals, even his goalkicking has improved, whether he's up to Div 1 standard is up to DC to decide.

Mildy is strong on reaction saves, where the issue lies for me is his ability to get down and get out quick enough. I know it's being picky but for me this has been shown up the last couple of weeks (Yeovil goal slow getting down, Dagenham goal flat footed, Dagenham off the line slow getting out). He doesn't do anything wrong as such but doesn't make saves any more that you expect a keeper not to make. The best keepers at all levels make those saves.

Because i think Mildy would be very good at it and he can cover for Media work as well So you'd change a coaching staff that's achieved two promotions in two years?
