The local rugby Combination final is being held between Clifton and Cleeve (Mangotsfield area).
7.30 start with £5 adults, £3 concessions and U-16 free.
If you have any rugby mates why not try and get them to go along. I assume we get a porportion of the bar/food sales.

There is always West Ham's last game at Upton Park v Man U on Sky, so you can get a pasty and a pint and watch that in the bar if you don't like rugby.

Hypothetical now I know.....But would this have still gone ahead if we were in the play offs? Don't think the ground staff would have been too happy having a load of egg chasers tearing up our lovely playing surface after we have just managed to shoo them away..

Yes it would have gone ahead.
For one thing, Wael would not want to lose extra revenue.
We heard for years from the old Board about "other Revenue Streams". It is a simple fact that the club does not get enough money just from matchdays to run the Mem (and the playing side).
The Mem has to be used much mich more non matchdays until we leave or else it is just a noose around our necks. Things are improving in this area - see regular Car Boots in the summer, but I would expect to see the Stadium used much more on non matchdays once Mr Hamer and Wael have a proper review.

I doubt we'll make much cash out of a few amateur rugby fans paying £5 per head after everybody else has taken their cut?

If we had a play off game coming up this week I'd be seriously worried out a bunch of egg chasers playing on it tonight after all this rain. I was one of thousands on the pitch Saturday and it's like a Bowling green and I'm sure DC would have wanted kept that way too.

Was just about to say the same tbh...Can't believe we'd have let them potentially churn up our pitch prior to a play off semi. Imagine if Mildy was about to clear a back pass in the play off semi and the ball bobbled in front of him where a scrum had taken place a few days earlier, leading to a goal against us,that would be alright then..? Egg chasers had their time with us imo. Our Groundstaff have done an amazing job on our pitch this Season...so let the water drinkers f**k up Pantsdowns playground not ours...especially for the sake of a few hundred quid. UTG

Though I don't think it rained then.
