Now that we're home and dry who do want to join us?
Accrington Stanley Plymouth Portsmouth AFC Wimbledon
If life was fair I suppose it should be Accrington. Same points as us and but for that disallowed goal it would be them instead of us.
Looking at next season's League 1 there's a lot of travelling ahead. It reminds me of the old Third Division (North) and Third Division (South)!
There's not much to be said for AFC Wimbledon's ground, though a day in Twickenham, Kingston or Richmond can be pleasant.
Plymouth is just down the M5, but I like Portsmouth's ground.......still the feel of 'old school'. Having said that I can see Portsmouth being the toughest opposition of all four in League 1.
So for me Plymouth, with Portsmouth close second.

Accrington and Wimbledon with a smaller budget will be less of an opposition for league 1 players. Portsmouth or Plymouth will be a better away day But the 2 inform teams are Wimbledon and Accrington Got a feeling it'll be the Wombles

I think it's going to be either Accy or Wimbledon. I agree and hope it is Accrington Stanley. They are losing a couple of key player's will have the smallest budget in the league and would be favourites to take one of the relagation spots. I think league two could be a very tough league next season and I am very glad we are not in it!

In a year of underdogs, I have started to feel like the Leicester story has been mirrored by our own achievements. The story behind their achievement and ours seems so similar with both sides relying on the spirit of the team rather than the brilliance of the individual members or the size of the club' bank balance.
For that reason I would go for Accrington Stanley. Their story is exactly the same and I am only sorry that it was them that we displaced in those last few exquisite moments of the season. I would like to see them progress, for that sentiment.
Plymouth: Whilst I would love a trip south to the seaside next year, I think they did "bottle it" in the end and the arguments amongst their supporters in their forum did them no justice whatsoever>
Portsmouth: I think that they are capable of going higher still and would be a bigger threat to our 2016/17 season than any of the other teams. I also disagree with the OP - I truly hate the away end at Fratton Park - awful perspective on the game, poor atmosphere and I have never seen us do well there.
Wimbledon: No real opinions either way. They are possibly the form team and might well do better than expected.
I am just glad that it isn't US in the play offs. Having heard DCs comments (talking about his own exhaustion) and having witnessed the efforts put in by OUR team over the last few weeks and especially in the final game - I am not sure we had much left in the tank. I know I was absolutely drained after the game and I am only a fan.

I hope it is Accrington, small club, everyone has hard of them, and a really old club too. Plymouth have no feelings for them, and don't much like Portsmouth, or their fans

You have to feel for Accy fans. Can you imagine being 3rd in injury time only for news to come through that we'd scored?! Our D&G experience was so special because we snatched success from the jaws of failure. Imagine the feeling if, after the jubilation of Browners goal and the first wave pitch invasion, news had come through of a goal at Accrington. It doesn't bear thinking about! Looking back it couldn't have been any better. We might have been 7-0 up but anxiously looking at other results. The fact we needed to score meant the crowd were 100% focused on that single objective and supporting the team. The atmosphere was electric and the outcome euphoric. Despite my genuine sympathy, I have no desire to visit Accrington Stanley or play them ever again. Portsmouth have the resources to buy their way through L1 and given their recent history I am happy for them to languish in L2 for a while longer. It's Wombles or Plymouth for me.

I get the impression that Pompey and Plymouth fans are of the opinion that if they make the final they are up. Dangerous game that.
And for that reason. I think the winners of the other semi final will go on to promotion. Hope it's Wimbledon

Think that Plymouth or Portsmouth will be under so much pressure to win play off final, that they will choke Think Accrington will not recover from disappointment of just missing automatic promotion Wimbledon can enjoy play off and are in good form

Always root for the highest placed team (except when we've been in them of course! & last season when Wycombe were fourth)
The play-offs of course will never be abandoned but they are deeply unfair.

I'd like to see the winner of Accy and Wimbledon go up. Just because it'd be good to see the underdog succeed...and also reading the Portsmouth or plymouth's forum afterwards will provide some amusement!

AFC Wimbledon V MK Franchise You can't start a team and get to league 1 in a decade I hope it's Accy as they have proven to be worthy over the season. However, what irony if wombles catch MK Dons thus proving franchise are no further forward than they would've been sticking with their roots.

Accrington for me! Along with Grimsbury from non-league! I don't ever want to go to Stroud for a football match again!

On top of that its a proper day out (or weekend away) where at least you can get proper cider and in a very nice part of the world.
Apart from one obvious exception I would always want clubs from the South West to do well.

Accrington were on the best run of form of all the top 7 teams over the final 10 games - 1point better than us. It all depends on how much that late winner for us did to them mentally. If they can pull themselves back up and beat Wimbledon, then I think they will do it in the final - if not then I would probably bet on Plymouth beating Pompey and then winning the final too.
