Was brilliant for us, be interested to see if we could in anyway persuade him back, however most likely join a championship side.
It seems darragh macanthony is far from happy with the current Peterborough side and without a manager has released 6 first team players and transfer listed 8 whose contracts run out this or next year, includes Smith and another Jon Taylor who I rate.

Would be welcomed back by most, was good for us despite being in the relegated side. Think he would excel under DC and bring experience playing in higher standard.

I thought the idea was they would normally be transfer listed at this stage, coz they only have a year on their contracts, but they haven't been coz the new manager (who they haven't appointed yet) hasn't had a chance to decide whether they will be offered longer contracts yet: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36288208"Ben Alnwick, Harry Anderson, Dion-Curtis Henry, Erhun Oztumer, Jack Payne, Ricardo Santos, Michael Smith and Jon Taylor are all entering the final year of their contracts. "Posh's club policy is to transfer-list players in those circumstances, but, if Graham Westley's replacement as manager wants any or all of the eight players to have an extension, then negotiations will take place." Anyway, we could do worse than signing Zakuani.

I'd prefer to keep developing Leads, I don't think rightback is a problem position. Leads helped us into this position and deserves his chance to prove he's of third tier standard.

Don't think we'll come back and in all honesty don't really want him. I'm happy with Leads who I think will continue to develop and is still very young. He jumped ship - he was perfectly entitled to do that and I wish him well - but I'd rather stick with the players that got us here... especially in right back as I don't believe that is anywhere near a priority for us.

Much rather have Leads. Better now & better potential still. Smith couldn't wait to leave us, unlike Brown!
Wouldn't want him back to join the party, having not stuck around to do the hard work to earn it!

Whilst I'm delighted Brown stayed, and wish Smith had too, they both worked hard in the relegation season and gave their all unlike some. Wouldn't have begrudged either of them a move.

Danny is great but would also love smudge back as competion/cover as we need a larger squad.

I'm of the old adage that you need at least two players in a squad for one position. Not a utility as 'the' back up player. When he was here Smith developed at a fast rate after his first full season. Likewise Leadbitter to an extent but What pair of right backs we would have if Smith joined!

Would have him back tomorrow. Yes he left at a difficult time but had the majority's blessing. Has had 2 seasons of L1 experience and would provide excellent competition for places within the squad.

Given we already have Leads & J Clarke covering the RB slot I feel that position is the last we need to fill, with what most likely would be an expensive signing.

Am I imagining it, or did DC start to push Smudge into the right side of midfield during the last few games of the relegation season. I can remember thinking that we looked a really good side with him playing rightside of midfield. He was having a great game at Pompey (one of the last few games that season) until his hamstring went and then we looked awful.
I would have him back
