What are you talking about, now? Do you not know what 'if' does to a sentence? Sorry just reread your comment and now realise you're trying to make up a fictious situation to attack my opinion. Carry on no idea what you're trying to prove. As I said I commented a week or so ago that Preston would be leaving due to the contract offers. The fact is my opinion has been proven to be correct. Of course as you like to disagree with everything I post (and hey its a free world so go ahead) to try to prove me wrong, a few facts wouldn't go amiss( you know like Preston leaving the club), Erm, no. Read it back. I wasn't trying to prove you wrong. I made a perfectly reasonable conversational response to your original comment, and you went all out with the 'no, it was the only thing possible that could ever possibly happen ever' comment. I guess if you're feeling a bit insecure coz you think I keep disagreeing with you, I'll just stop responding to you from now on. (Although, sometimes I don't always notice who I'm responding to.)

Well I've only offered an opinion that has proved to be correct, no need to read it back the only bit I misread I apologised for (still no idea why you want to engage in some fantasy role play, perhaps a friend could help you out with that?). As you only seem to want to engage in an argument (but as I said feel free to comment on everything I say, you obviously didn't read that bit) & have nothing to bring to the table twat protocol has been invoked.

If you are a player who has played in the Conference and then done a little bit in Div 2 and had a chance of playing in Div One and the club offered you yet another deal then you would be dopey not to accept it. For me I would get rid of Puddy; as well Liam Lawrence. Both injury prone but we don't know what Puddy has been offered? Surely he's been offered a minimum of a 1 year contract with a newly promoted Div 1 side, as per DC's promise before the Barnet game? Not sure where the suggestion Puddy's injury prone comes from as he's only had the one injury with us, and that surely goes for most pro footballers?

As far as LL hopefully he realises Rovers aren't the club for him next season.

Hr cant be on that much and might decide to find another club where he could be number 1

I'd rather have seen us keep Preston than Puddy to be honest. Keeping Puddy is pretty pointless.
I still think we need another keeper as Mildenhall is getting older and whilst he has been brilliant this season, next season is a step up and he doesn't come off his line enough. Puddy isn't good enough for league one, simple as.
We must sign serious competition for Mildy at a minimum. I would be happy going into the season with him as a number one but I wouldn't be happy going into the season with him as number 1 and Puddy as backup.

Let's not write Puddy off too soon yeah?
He stepped in for Mildy in the conference and was a key part in us going up. Everyone has different views but I believe the Dover "mistake" was a foul and at Wembley every Rovers player looked poor for the first twenty minutes or so, it's harsh for singling him out.
He didn't get a chance in League 2 due to his injury and Mildy getting back in great form.
I feel people write him off due to his height which is a shame because there are some brilliant keepers who are roughly the same size who show that height doesn't matter.

How does anyone on here know that Preston even has the potential to be better than Puddy? Surely DC has seen a lot more of them than any of us.

It's all about opinions and in DC I trust. I guess he has seen a lot in training which has helped form his opinion. Not a major problem, I suspect there will be several keepers kicking around this Summer, but will they be better than what we have? UTG!

An ‘argument’ I absolutely hate “He Doesn’t come off his line enough” I t doesn’t matter if he does come off or the line, or doesn’t. The key is that the defence know that the keeper will or wont and deal with it accordingly. The problems arise when you don’t know what is going to happen.
