He has put out a tweet saying he hasn't signed on for the coming season. I've only seen him in one game, against Sutton last pre-season. Looked a good young keeper. He used to travel to away games to watch, quite often by train and was always happy to chat to the fans.
Was he let go, does anybody know, or did he turn down our offer?

From his tweet I'd say he wasn't offered a deal

Think he was let go. A shame really but we have Puddy and Mildy, and DC has made it clear he'll be after another.

TBH I'd sooner we'd released Puddy and kept a promising youngster in Preston, I bet Puddy can't beleive his luck that he's gone from an average Conference player to playing for a Div 1 club next season after just 45 mins Div 2 football.

Said this a week or two ago as soon as DC promised the senior players a contract for next season the only wriggle room he had on the goalkeeper front was to release Preston. The most obvious outcome of DC's approach to contracts.
Just let's hope Puddy doesn't breakdown again or hope we can get in a cheapish alternative.

And Preston was in the squad for that game, but Puddy wasn't.

Should've kept Preston and got rid of Puddy. We need a new young mountain that can kick as number 1 with Mildy as back-up. I'm not confident with Mildy as number 1 in L1 let alone Puds.

It's on the evil post site, so must be true.
We will need at least 3 keepers next season, unless they are exempt the emergency loan ruling change.

Only logical outcome in my opinion (though mo doubt your opinion is different as ever).

Puddy hasn't signed yet. He may well decided to not sign and try and play football elsewhere

Which perhaps would open the door for Preston to return? But unless Puddy doesn't fancy sitting on the bench/in the stands all season is he really going to turn down the chance of a Div 1 contract to. most likely, return to playing non league football next season? If he stays with us there's always the chance he could be a regular Div 1 goalie come next May.

If you are a player who has played in the Conference and then done a little bit in Div 2 and had a chance of playing in Div One and the club offered you yet another deal then you would be dopey not to accept it. For me I would get rid of Puddy; as well Liam Lawrence. Both injury prone

Oh and you don't make any decisions on playing contracts.

Mildenhall was on a good wage, doubt if he was offered any more. Didn't someone on here say that Conference contracts for some players were £500 a week but that doubled for their L2 contracts.

DC obviously doesn't think Preston is as promising as people on here like to make out.

Sorry just reread your comment and now realise you're trying to make up a fictious situation to attack my opinion. Carry on no idea what you're trying to prove. As I said I commented a week or so ago that Preston would be leaving due to the contract offers. The fact is my opinion has been proven to be correct. Of course as you like to disagree with everything I post (and hey its a free world so go ahead) to try to prove me wrong, a few facts wouldn't go amiss( you know like Preston leaving the club),
