Quick look on skybet and Rovers are 20/1 to win league 13/2 to get promoted. Sheffield Utd are favs at 6/1 , MK Dons 10/1. Oxord are 12/1 ! Shrewsbury & Bury outsiders at 33/1 .

3 successive promotions has never been done within the top 4-5 divisons, is that correct?

Really hard to see why oxford are shorter odds than us. Accordingly to their chairman they are losing 2.4m per season and will have to continue to sell players whilst they are tenants at the kassam.

How can they have promotion odds already? The transfer window isn't even open yet!

How can they have promotion odds already? The transfer window isn't even open yet! And not all teams are promoted yet either.

3 successive promotions has never been done within the top 4-5 divisons, is that correct? Wimbledon did rise up the leagues quickly, not sure how many successive promotions they had

League 1 to the Prem is only 2 successive promotions.

I've put a tenner on Rovers to get promoted the last two seasons and seeing as that has gone rather well I'll do the same this season.
In all seriousness I think we can really push on with the right recruitment/keeping hold of players. Look at Burton last season

Am I missing something here. That article describes sides that have been promoted from L1 to the Premiership in successive seasons. That involves two successive promotions and doesn't answer the question about 3 successive promotions.
EDIT: OOOPS, this has already been posted - It has been that sort of day - I will get my coat

Correct. The only English teams to do this were purely in non-league.
I'm under no illusions. It is a big step up from League 2 to League 1. Far bigger than from the conference to League 2. Mid-table next season really would be an excellent achievement.

Thing is we've never been a small Club in the 3rd tier in our history and are usually considered a top half - promotion side by the bookies so I can't see why we shouldn't be pushing for promotion sgain with the debts off our shoulders and a great young manager in charge I think we've got a great chance of a top 6 finish next season. I wouldn't mind mid table but I think we can do more and I wouldn't be surprised if we get top 6.

DC will have learned a lot this season. We will start better because of it and "YES", we will be promoted. UTG!

Of course promotion to L1 from L2 meant to be harder than promotion to L2 from the Conference, but looking back on this and last season, with hindsight, it didn't seem harder to do it this season than last. Of course under Conference rules we would have only made the playoffs in 3rd place, Looking back, does anyone else think it was harder this time around?
The big clubs in L1 like Coventry and Sheffield United seem to be in disarray, so we don't necessarily need to fear them. Bolton seem to be in free fall. Charlton and MK will be tough, but at that level there's always a rogue team like Burton that can do well despite limited budgets.
I don't think we'll have a problem surviving next year, but what we might have to do for a promotion push will depend on money, managers and maybe Matty.

I'm sorry but I honestly believe we have a cracking chance to make football history and make it 3 in a row.
This isn't ragbag BRFC anymore. That what the south side of this city don't get.We got the lowest of lows in 2014 and hit the depths of footballing hell but look how we have changed and grown since then.Bolton, charlton, Coventry are all here for a reason. We have the fanbase, players, manager , "money" and more momentum behind us - more than any other league 1 or 2 side.We have a great chance.
