Leeds are prepared to offer just over 1Mil a year apparently. Taken from a very bitter comment on OTIB.
If we lose Matty or anyone else I have faith in DC to replace them. If we lose DC I'll worry because I can't think of anyone who could replace him. As someone else said, he's the only person at the club that's irreplaceable.
I won't blame him if he goes, he'd be silly not too if the money was right. But I feel we have something special going on down here and I'd be gutted. I also think we'd find it harder to tie a few players down to new contracts if DC wasn't at the helm.

If DC were to leave, maybe we will go down the Swansea route and go for a foreign manager like Martinez.

Have the Bristol Post managed to create a story out of nothing here as there doesn't seem to be any other real source for this news story? Let's be honest whilst DC's done a great job for us is really going to catch the eye of a Championship club when, he's never even managed above Div 2 in his short managerial career? Leeds would be taking an hell of a gamble just when surely they need some stability? Any manager is a gamble. Given DC's cv to daten, I would say he is a far smaller gamble than many other managers.

If i was dc i would now be seeking assurances about backing for a promotion bid next season and timescales for the new stadium from the new owners. They are about to face their first test, is this really a new brfc or will the same thing that always happens happen again?

If it is true Karl Robinson has rejected Leeds then why is DC going to accept?

The way I see it, wale has employed some pretty big hitters onto the board, they won't be cheap. Now he has a man in demand and probably vital to making this squad work this coming season.
Reckon Wael has to set his stall PDQ or the honeymoon period could be well and truly over, that said DC would be mad to work for the Leeds chairman unless it was a life changing offer !

I don't really care where they're from, but the club is set up now to choose where to go if he does leave. I think we absolutely need to continue DC's 'philosophy' with a new manager in future. Young, ambitious, professional, plays half decent football and the team gives everything. As I said earlier, I'd genuinely replace DC with Saunders at Maidstone United. Would have been Danny Cowley at Braintree but he's gone to Lincoln. Hear me out... - Similar age to DC - 3 promotions in 5 years of management up to the Conference - Maidstone play alright football, at least from the limited stuff I've seen - Were losing in the play-off final last week, equalised 120+1 minute and then won on pens - never say die attitude? - Maidstone get decent crowds, but there's a lot of money in that Conference South. Huge achievement. Maybe the board would have someone better lined up. Whatever happens, hopefully the days of dinosaur managers who alienate the fans are over.

I'd more or less forgotten about this sort of situation.

If Roberto Martinez comes anywhere near our club I will not be responsible for my actions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! terrible terrible terrible manager. If and I mean if he goes I would keep the current set up if they are not poached.

I think the chap means a foreign manager with a certain style to suit the club, similar to when Swansea appointed Martinez, rather than Martinez himself... like it or lump it though, it worked for Swansea at the time!

Yes that is what I was getting at,Weal seems interested in academy football and bringing over young lads from Jordan,he made Mr Hamer chairman, we're playing Swansea pre season,it was just a thought I had

So I'd love to believe all the hype, I really would. However, pretty sure the gaffer is in Vegas at the moment. Dont think he'll be best placed to male any big decisions yet eh.

Just remember, at this point odds mean nothing.
Even IF the rumours of Leeds interest are true, they haven't even met with him yet!
Therefore it's impossible to say what the odds are. He might just p*as himself and tell them where to go!
If the MK Dons manager can turn them down, so can DC.
I am extremely confident he won't be off to Leeds.

It amazes me some of the stuff people put out on the internet.

Last summer DC told everyone at the Q+A he would not leave BRFC until we are top 10 league one. Does he really seem like the type to go back on that? Pretty sure he also said we can quote him on that.
