Cellino is a crack pot who does things on a whim. If DC gets mixed up with him best of luck. Personally don't think it will happen as there are stipulations regarding compensation to us before DC even talks to Leeds. The sky is the limit with us at the moment, would DC really want to throw away all his hard graft of the last 2 seasons?

2014–Present: The Cellino eraOn 5 April, Cellino was successful in his appeal with independent QC Tim Kerr to take over the club. The takeover was completed on 10 April with Cellino's company, Eleonora Sport Limited, buying 75 per cent of the club's shares. Two months later, the inexperienced Dave Hockaday was surprisingly appointed head coach, with Junior Lewis hired as his assistant.[50] After only 70 days, the pair were fired by Cellino. Darko Milanič was given the Head Coach position in September 2014, but left the club the following month. On 1 November 2014, Neil Redfearn was confirmed as the new Head Coach. On 1 December 2014, Cellino was disqualified by the Football League after they obtained documents from an Italian court, where he was found guilty of tax evasion. He was disqualified from running the club until 10 April 2015, and on 24 February 2015, Cellino announced he would not be returning to the club after his ban ended. On 30 October 2015, Cellino agreed a deal in principle with Leeds Fans Utd to sell a majority stake in the club. When asked to legally commit to an exclusivity period to allow due diligence to commence, he reneged.[ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeds_United_F.C. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massimo_CellinoBrian McDermott - Massimo Cellino questioned McDermott's decision to take a holiday! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_McDermott_%28footballer%29Dave Hockaday - after only 70 days was fired by Cellino en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_HockadayDarko Milanič - dismissed 32 days after taking over. Great bargaining chip for a new contract with the Gas but am sure that Darrell is astute enough to have a quick word with Dave Hockaday and other managers before getting into bed with Cellino.

If DC does leave I'm thinking of starting a thread entitled "A New Beginning" Now THAT is an exciting and novel approach. I love the way this forum constantly breaks new ground.

Steve Evans is long serving in comparison and the bloke hasn't even been there a full season! What a joke, the bloke is an absolute crackpot. I remember when he released Paddy Kenny because he found out his date of birth is the 17th of something and 17 is "an unlucky number".

How much do Wael, Hamer and co want to keep Clarke? I don't think they were expecting promotion this year and has it mucked up their plans to bring in their own man? Only asking!

Bearing in mind how thorough DC is when doing his homework on potential signings, one would assume he'll do his homework on the Leeds owner.
If he does, surely(!!) he's gonna politely decline.

The Post are claiming that the three year deal he's been offered is on 'significantly reduced terms'. Surely that can't be right? It has been revealed today that he has been offered a three-year-deal on significantly reduced terms to replace the 12-month rolling contract that he has been on since taking the job.Surely, surely, surely this can't be right?!?! Only that would be a horrendous balls up even by their standards?!?!

Still, we won promotion at Wembley on the 17th.

Evil post suggesting £200k compensation would be required. How much will it cost Leeds United to get their man? Sources suggest that Massimo Chellino is determined to get his man, yet Rovers are determined to keep him. They will hope Clarke will be swayed by the new contract that has been offered to him. Should Leeds meet the requirements to talk to their preferred target and then manage to persuade him to swap the Memorial Stadium for Elland Road, Rovers are expected to demand a six-figure sum in compensation of somewhere in the region of £200,000.
