What side would you pick?
__________Mildenhall_________ ___Lockyer_McChrystal_Parkes Leadbitter________________Brown ___Sinclair_Mansell_Monkhouse ________Taylor__Brunt________
Toss up between Monkhouse and Gosling for me as the more attacking of the 3 CM's, but chose to stick with Monkhouse because I think he'll only improve with each game he plays (and also think Gosling's injection of pace is a useful weapon from the bench).
Although I thought we looked more of an attacking threat when we switched to 4-4-2 on Saturday, we looked far more solid defensively in the 3-5-2, so I'd start with that again and hopefully build on the solid base in a tough away game.

I'd give the 5-3-2 another start but tell monkhouse he's an attacking midfielder in the center and to push up and look for the through ball for the forwards more often. A flat 3 in the middle won't create enough chances. 3-4-1-2 is more how I would like to see it played.

I think that will be the starting line up, but it is far too negative for me. I guess Brunt needs the games to see if he can get back any semblance of sharpness but Gosling for me for Monkhouse in a 4-4-2 with Mansell in the holding role and Sinclair as the ball winner, box to box Will be interesting

I don't see it as negative at all, it was at lot more energetic and positive than the numerous 0-0's that we had under Ward last season (who played 4-4-2). I definitely would like to get Gosling in the side though.

Anyone else getting the train to this? Was considering, what's the closest train station, New Barnet? Also, I couldn't find a train back that left after the game and didn't get home pratically the next day.

Really hope Gosling starts, looked good on Saturday and did a bit more than Monkhouse.

Yeah I know, but isn't canons park just for tube or am I being really, really stupid Does it really matter? Assumiing you are getting a train from Bristol to Paddington then it's tube to Bakers street and then Jubilee line to Canons park.

Not sure I would change the system, start as we did Saturday see if we can build on it.
You often hear this but if we can keep them quiet for the first half an hour doubts might start to spread after their goal fest last time out.

Cheers mate, I have planned to get the 11.30 back to Temple Meads if it goes tits up, have to cab it from there to Parkway, having reservations usually gets over looked late at night, I hope, I will be on it regardless of that, have a good day/night lets hope for a positive result. 4-4-2 and keep the ball on the ground I bloody hate hoof ball with a passion Agree with This, after all of DCs slagging off of John Ward and promise of attacking and passing football i cant bare to think the 5-3-2 hoofball was anything other then Teething problems.
