Have heard a whisper that we have created a (as yet unofficial) link with Chelsea FC...
Will include potential feeder club terms, ie we get first dibs on youth players coming through Chelsea to come here on loan and also some sort of link with regards to scouting as well.
A meeting was called last week to discuss the link and what it will mean for the club.
That is about all I know at the moment, as and when I hear more I will stick it on here.

Bollocks, this steams from the fact Wael likes Chelsea. He has no links to the club or anything, it's just bollocks.

For anyone else who cares, I was told this by the same chap who feeds me all of the little snippets I get re the club.
He works at the club on a part time basis, doesn't tell me BS as a rule of thumb.
Take it or leave it.

No idea if it's true or not, but surely the fact Chelsea are mentioned makes it more likely as it's Wael just as much as it makes it seem too obvious. I know he's nothing more than a fan at Chelsea, but he's obviously well connected via FIFA. You only have to look at photos on Twitter too to see he's known in the game.

The link has come from Wael no doubt.
I also think that a fan of his financial stature will no doubt have friends within the club.
As I said, only what I was told.

Ive heard Abromovich has money in the Al-Qadi banks. who knows, there could be some truth in the OPs claim. Stranger things have happened to Rovers over the years, being bought by a billionaire Jordanian for one.

Yeah, but there's a difference between having a relationship with a club meaning you get a first look at/choice on their potential loans, and being a feeder club. Were you told we would be a feeder club, or did you just put that word in yourself?

Put that word in myself. That word was not used at all.
From what I can gather it will be more of an unofficial link.
Was told that we will see a couple of young Chelsea lads in on loan next season, that we will some sort of link up with scouting and that will also be using their facilities with regards to rehabilitating injured players.

And what's in it for Chelsea? Presumably their youth players would benefit from first team experience at league one level? Sounds more like a favour to us than something that will massively benefit Chelsea.

Although whether there's any truth in these rumours and DC accepts the players are an improvement on what he's got/can get, only time will tell as this seems an easy rumour to make up?
