I must provide a message .....ok.....can you predict how many games Roys boys will win ? 0-7. The winner gets the satisfaction of knowing they are superb at guessing a number.

Some decent players there but too many square pegs in round holes and a dinosaur in charge. I think we'll scrape through the group and get knocked out against the first decent side we come up against.

Yep I have to agree it's probably just going to go the same as most Of our campaigns , there was a time when I would never miss an England game and I always made a night of it when England played but unfortunately I have become so uninterested in watching the overpaid and overhyped teams of the past I find it hard to really get behind the boys like I used to, obviously I want them to do well and would be ecstatic if we actually achieved something but I never get the same buzz as when I watch the gas!

as they can't gamble cash, I assume you're talking about how many matches they win over a game of poker....

An England manager is always pressurised to make a team from the best club individuals by the press and public. If a manager ever has the balls to create the best functioning team and be prepared to take the flack for leaving popular players on the bench or at home they may have a chance of winning something.

As long as Rooney stays as far away from the lineup as possible, then we may do well.

I'm exactly the same.

If we win the group, we should reach at least the QFs as we'll play a third placed team in the last 16.
And really, we should win the group.

As posted below - the 4 best 3rd place teams qualify. The winners of groups A, B (our group), C & D will play one of the 4 runners-up each. The winners of groups E and F have to face a runner-up (seems a bit harsh!)

Yes, to be fair, he was brilliant a few years ago. However, for the past 2-3 seasons, he hasn't been half the player he was. I'd put Kane, Vardy and Sturridge ahead of him at the moment. When played behind the strikers, he looks lost. There are far more capable players than him, especially the emerging young talent.

Prior to the game against Portugal I thought we had a chance of getting out of the group stage but after watching such an inept performance I think they will match their performances of recent tournaments at best

Yea I'd hate for our captain, top scorer of all time and leading goalscorer in qualification to be anywhere near the team... So would I. With him we look sluggish and unorganised with players out of position to allow him to play, without him we look fresh vibrant quick and capable of beating anyone. Rooneys ship sailed a long time ago.

I honestly think our best chance of success is by playing a quick direct game with Vardy up front like Leicester or if we've got Kane up front then play Delli Ali and get rose supporting in the left and walker on the right etc. I don't understand why England managers pick players then ask them to do completely different jobs to what they've been doing all season for their clubs. Vardy plays off the shoulder and destroys defences with his pace running on to the long through ball but the other night he was playing as a defensive forward involving winning the ball and starting attacks, he spent more time tracking Portugals wide attacks than he did running into space for a through ball. That's just one example of England's problems and why I think we'll get beaten against the first good side we come up against. Hodgson is a dinosaur tactically and he's scared of Wayne Rooney too if he wasn't he'd drop him.

We will lose against Russia. No doubt about that, because even good England sides do badly in the first game. Wales will contain us for 85 minutes and then Bale will score. Hodgson will then drop Rooney against Slovakia in a game we have to win to be best 3rd placed side, but the bad feeling in the squad and the hysterical reaction from newspapers and social media will have upset morale so much that we will lose that one as well, 0-2.
Hodgson will then be retired and some other well paid mug will take over.
You read it here first. It's inevitable.
