Don't like his idea for the north/south leagues at all, we'll be back playing many of the same crap league 2 clubs we've just left behind. I'd much rather go to Sheff Utd and Bolton than Crawley or Barnet 100% agree with this. For conference teams the cost of travel, etc is a major concern but not for league teams. The FA should be fixing the schedule where we've played local Yeovil on a Saturday twice, but Hartlepool on a Tuesday night twice. Common sense really.

The only winners out of regionalised leagues will be the Championship clubs as they increase the gap between them and the rest. In essence regionalised leagues is just a defacto way of creating Premier league Div 2.
Frankly feel so strongly about this that it is probably time to drop an email to the new Chairman.

I think the article by Steve Hamer was about ALL the lower league clubs, not just Rovers.
It's OK for Rovers with our relatively large fanbase to have long distance away games, but what about clubs who only get 1500 - 3000 crowds? So whist the current arrangement is fine for Rovers, Sheffield United, Charlton, Bolton etc. it's not great for Accrington, Crewe, Bury, Hartlepool. Also, his suggestion of regionalised leagues was in response to the original suggestion of 5 leagues of 20 clubs and from my reading was simply meant as a "consider this possibility as well" discussion point.

This isn't going to be with the swing of it, but SH does not seem like a football man, he's a business man.
He clearly did not seem to come from a council estate in southmead as it were.
He's looking at this as a businessman, not a football supporter. The tradition has been around for a long time and should not be meddled with.
I am willing to trust his direction of the club but I'm not expecting him to be old school fan friendly. This is prawn sandwiches and success versus pie, chips and failure.

If clubs like Accrington can not afford the travel then they have to either pay less for wages ,put their prices up or try harder recruiting new fans or sponsors. If the only way they can compete at the level they are at is by going into bigger debts then they have to play at a level they can afford. Apologises for highlighting one club.
