There have been many discussions and comments over the last few years both positive and negative in relation to our Supporters Club and Fans Directors. With the changes at the top it seems changes to the way in which these organisations/people fit within the new structure is inevitable. Without looking backwards and commenting on what has been, what functions would you like the SC to fulfill and likewise the fans directors?

Does the lack of responses mean people don't care? That people haven't read this? That people don't know what they want? Or something else?

The SC & Fan Directors were sidelined by the previous regime and it seems so far as if it is continuing.
Not sure what else there is to say.
Meanwhile Exeter City, apparently run by the fans, voted in favour of PL academy teams entering the FL Trophy.
Sometimes it feels like whatever system you have the little guys get shat on.

So do we just accept that they have been sidelined or do we look for different ways the sc and fans directors can integrate with the new regime? Exeter are foolish. They only did it for the money as they are going nowhere currently.

Until the club outlines the roles it is looking to take over and the finances it is prepared to spend on various areas its hard to define which direction the sc should evolve.
ie ....... should working class fans be delving into their pockets to help fund the youth teams when there are millionaires/billionaires owning the club ? Who say this is an area they wish to develops further in the future. Does sustainability include charitable donations from fans ?
Should the supporters club be a cash raising wing of the football club or a club that uses its income to help enhance fans experience of match days (which has the knock on effect of helping the club ) ?

The Supporters Club Chairman and Directors need a meeting with the Club Chairman/Board to:
A. Clear the air and/or draw a line under the end of last season. B. Define the role of the Supporters Club going forwards to include roles and responsibilities.
Once this has been done we will have a clearer idea of what the future will be like. I have a lot of time for Jim, Brian, Ken and all the volunteers that work hard on a day to day basis to ensure things happen within the club.

For me the role of the SC is to express the views of the fans and not to express their own personal views or the views of small groups of people. This is a new era and I believe they should embrace it and to to trust the new owners while there isn't any evidence not to. We as a club are thinking bigger and the SC have to do the same or I feel they will ultimately be in a position where they will have little influence. They need to start looking at the bigger picture IMO.
