I figure there are still 8 out of contract players for us to hear about. Totally trust DC's judgement but here is my view
Matter Taylor ......think he will go elsewhere personally but would love him to stay. Probably be one of the last ones we here about.
Montana....... personally I'm a bit indifferent if he stays
Gosling......thinking he might be one to keep as I reckon he has something about him
O Clarke........ difficult one as hes local boy but not convinced he is going to be up to next level
Lines......want him to stay
Easter.......I'm a fan, but would understand if he doesn't stay
Puddy.....let him go I think
Harrison......I really don't know on this one. Toss of a coin decision based on who we could have instead.
Anyway I'm enjoying the drip feed of news which will hopefully lead into some new signings news, then friendlies and then away we go again.

I wouldn't be surprised to see half those players move on.

Taylor's the only one I would be gutted to lose. We need to build for promotion number 3 :-) no pressure

Thought Easter was under contract already. .................and Chris Lines? lines isn't under contract but would def like him to stay and confident he will, apart from lines and taylor not to worried about the rest they would all only be squad players in my opinion, saying that though would also like to see monty stay i think he can offer us something in league 1 and would benefit from knowing the set up and players from last season and as a result could be abit more consistent than this season?

i would like to see lines taylor and harrison stay,,with ellis i think hes a great option from the bench despite not impressing much when he started games last season. not convinced any of the others will cut it in league one. also dont forget liam lawrence hasnt signed a new deal yet,i understood the set up was that he would be offered a new contract if we won promotion,so i think its 9 to go

Would like to keep Taylor and Lines.
Mixed feelings over easter Harrison and Montano.
The others should move on imo.
All players who leave will go with heads held high and gas heroes who I will never forget. These lads will always get a huge cheer when they turn out against us an I wish every single one all the best should they go.

surely a lot of this is to do with money.
Example - If, as believed, Gosling is on pretty low wages (he is young and never played at a high level), he could represent good value for money as a squad player and as someone who could improve.
Harrison was believed to be on high wages (thanks JW!) and although I like his impact he might be pretty poor value for money as a bit-part player. Not the sort of character DC really prefers either.

Feel Lines will stay, I also can't see O Clarke turning down a contract offer but not sure about the rest, as they may feel it's time to move on but where are Gosling or Money going to get a better deal?

Ellis has it in him to be the best player at the club. I firmly believe that. It's down to him.

Thought I read he triggered a clause to extend it a year? Sure on one article weeks ago it said Lawrence and Easter had decided to trigger a clause to stay another year.

Yeah Lawrence has the promotion incentive in his contract, if we went up he had the option of another year, not heard anything about Easters but he wpuld have been offered something same as everyone regardless so doesn't make a difference lol

I can't Easter turning down another year at Rovers on a decent salary and near to his home in Wales? Question marks for me would be Lawrence & Harrison plus of course Taylor.

Montano has showed a lot more than Gosling in less appearances.
The again we are in a league with the likes of Shaquille Coulthirst, so maybe we should be looking for better quality.
