Good stuff. Would be nice to get our business done early. Guessing that's why Matty is making his decision soon rather than later so we're not scrambling around looking for a replacement.

Lines just wrote a welcome post to Moore as well so I'm sure he'll be signing his deal soon, would be odd to welcome somebody then leave lol

Perhaps he's 'devoid of confidence' because of the way he's treated at Vale, his brother did kill himself so he could be a bit depressed? Sounds like he needs a good team to come into where he can shine like he did at Crewe.

Perhaps we could also sign his old team mate Nick Powell as well.

Going to be an interesting one this. Clearly has/had bags of potential but never quite lived up to it. No real surprise given the death of his brother, which must have been tough. No better manager than DC to have a crack at getting him back to his best IMO, and he's got a lot of League One experience.

Saw this from a Crewe fan:
"Byron Moore is the next to leave Port Vale, signs a 2 year deal at Bristol Rovers. He's well and truly peaked in terms of what kind of a player he is. A bang average L1 player who has moments of brilliance interspersed with long periods of nothingness. Dunno what Port Vale fans think, but if Rovers have designs on anything more than a lower mid table finish, Moore isn't the kind of guy that will help them achieve that"

If I find a positive one i'll post it Henbury...and this was from a supporter he actually scored a few goals for.

Will this mean Bodin up top (as Taylor's replacement) with Moore on the right I wonder?

Or am I missing the point?

DC knows what he is doing, we hope!

Or am I missing the point? Lower mid table seems like a decent-ish 1st season back in L1 too
