It is a slightly odd statement in that it says absolutely nothing at all - UNLESS, maybe, it is a precursor to a further announcement that MT has decided to head to Hearts after all as he wants to play for an EU club.

Hmm...a statement telling us nothing much at all, this seems a common theme of late?

It may also mean that we will be unable to continue with the signing of Ronaldo as we can't get a work permit for him

There will be a fair few people who are genuinely concerned about how it could affect football. Better to at least acknowledge Brexit and say they'll keep us posted than say nothing.

Don't forget Wael is involved at international football level. Hence the Board may have felt a comment worthwhile. Of course they can't say a lot but may have implications in the future when we are in the Champions League!!

Or Wael may decide that the EU was where his investment is best placed and will now stop?

Does that mean our Little Englander fans will get their Rovers back again? That should thrill 'em no end.

Am I missing something, as how is Brexit really going to effect a Div 1 club anymore than the rest of the nation?
Totally bizarre making any statement in my view, unless this is a preclude to announcing finance for the UWE is no longer available?

Does seem odd to make an announcement seeing as its most likely not going to affect us in the slightest.
On the other hand make an announcment acknowledging it and no one thinks the club hasn't thought through the implications.

I shouldn't be flippant really, I think that this is a dreadful decision and it will affect us all for the worse - just nice to share a few bad jokes on here to take my mind off of it.

It's a nothing statement really but no doubt some fans have pondered if our foreign ownership will be effected; so worth putting it out in my eyes.

Problem is making a nothing statement makes fans think there could be something to worry about! I'd love to know what competitions Rovers would consider entering solely because of Brexit.
