Enough talk about Taylor! I really like how DC said he has faith in the owners to take the club forward by building the infrastructure.
Echos what I've hoped is true about WAQ!

If most the players signed on for less than they were offered elsewhere, are we going to have one of the smallest budgets in the league??
I'm all for building the club up, but we need to start seeing those changes. Hopefully have some positive Uwe and training ground news soon.

Isn't it great players want to play for the shirt rather than the pay cheque? It only becomes an issue if DC can't attract the right player to the club.

That's the offshoot of being a club which encourages performance over wages, you will see players who do well getting better offers elsewhere, some will leave etc. Be encouraged that players wanted to stay here, rather than being worried that we didn't offer them the earth. The top sides in League One can offer big money (Charlton spent £1.3m on a striker from Swindon and Holmes at Northampton), which isn't sustainable for us until the new ground comes in. I'm sure the budget has gone up, its just that the clubs we're competing with are obviously dealing with much bigger budgets too.

It is great that they resigned and want to fight for the shirt, but they are already part of the set up and the great team spirit. Long term we might struggle to attract new players, as if new players are offered more elsewhere, with better facilities they are unlikely to sign for us. I like the fact we are building it up slowly and not waisting money on players, who don't want to fight. I just think we need the new training facilities and Uwe to improve long term. If it falls through we will struggle to keep dc, let alone the players. Want to see progress off the pitch over the coming months.
