Possibly one for the future but never understood why we played him when Mildenhall was better and ours.

I think we'll get a keeper from Prem or Champ on loan for the season - but have no idea who. Can't see anymore outfield players coming in (poss a Left back to cover for Brown) as we already have 22/23 in the group. if we're bringing in no more outfield players i fear it's going to be a long hard season ahead we have brought 3 players in and kept all our best players so i dont really get that? surely we need to give the players that got us promoted plus the 3 new boys a chance to see what they can do?

I agree with you - I was surprised how many from last season were offered and accepted new contracts. im very surprised there hasn't been a lot more spent on the team, people say no point is being in championship until we get new ground? What a load of rubbish look at Bournemouth I'm sure their fans were gutted when they went into the prem with a similar ground i thought the new owner had made it clear he wants to build the club up slowly,,,ground academy training ground, also they have kept taylor bodin lockyer leadbitter and brown which wouldnt have been cheap as they would have been in demand. quite shocked some of our supporters have missed the owners statements on gradual progress??

mildenhall came back into the team after being discarded by dc and was fantastic during the run in so why do we need a new keeper?

Yes they deserve a chance but few have got experience in l1,what happens after 10 games and were near the bottom? That slow progress you I talking about could be the opposite, mildenhall has done well but we need a keeper for the future

Presumably emergency loans for keepers are still ok?
Might mean that this is the last market to move....

Although why worry about the future once Mildenhall is past it we can just go out and sign a replacement unlike strikers there seems plenty of goalies around.

It seems a fairly universal view that we need another keeper, whether they be number one or at least give Mildy serious competion. I would have liked us to sign Bobby Olejnik a year a go on a free but that has long passed now. My question is what potential keepers are available at the moment that are realistic possibilities? Bearing in mind I doubt we will pay a fee for a keeper. Personally I don't think DC is in any rush for a new keeper. Is Olejnik the Exeter keeper, because he looked real class when we played down there last season.

More than happy to have Mildy between the sticks this season.

I'm not sure that Mildy being number 1 is the issue.... I don't see that Puddy is a good enough understudy to provide cover or competition. Mildy is fine and I think he is still a good safe bet even at this level. However, we do need better cover/competition'

You don't have to have a 20k plus capacity to survive in the championship, look at the attendances of some of the clubs

But only many have grounds similar to the Mem with seating for only 3,000?

But only many have grounds similar to the Mem with seating for only 3,000? How many does Yeovil seat? I know they aren't in the championship now but their ground must be on par with ours in the sh**e stakes?

Mark Birighitti just signed for Swansea and they already have three keepers. One of theirs might be available. Not sure Birighitti would be too pleased about signing and then off loaded.
Former Newcastle Jets goalkeeper Mark Birighitti has signed for English Premier League side Swansea City after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
The twice-capped Socceroos stopper, who was named in the A-League team of the year last season, will provide competition to first-choice keeper and Polish No.1 Lukasz Fabianski and his back-ups Kristoffer Nordfeldt and Gerhard Tremmel.
"I'm very happy with the move," Birighitti told Swansea's's official website.
"A lot of hard work has gone into it, and I'm very grateful and humbled by the opportunity to represent such a prestigious and fantastic club.
"I'm really looking forward to it. As a young footballer growing up you dream of playing in big leagues around the world such as the Premier League, which is the best in the world.
"Growing up, I watched a lot of English football and it was something I wanted to achieve in my career.
Hopefully I can repay the club for the faith they have shown in me."
