This guys impressed me in the playoffs for AFC Wimbledon on loan from Derby. Seemingly out of contract at Derby soon, 6'5" aged 24. Think he could push Mildy for number 1 spot. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelle_Roos

This is the one that got all cocky when they scored and we wound him up all 2nd half when we went further clear!

Just noticed that Conrad Logan has been released by Hibs, which surprises me as thought he was doing well there? Maybe he was asking for too much? Logan has today resigned for Rochdale. Can't help but feel we've missed out there.

Just read in anither thread that Matt Macey is being availiable for loan? Surely a good chance of him coming here I would imagine?

I guess that depends if Arsenal are happy for him to drop down to Div 1, although I can't imagine he'd go straight into the first team at a Championship club. But would he want to return to Rovers?

Why not? First team league on football. Highest standard he would have played regular games at.

Macey was bloody awful for Accrington on loan last season. Positioning was all over the place and the goals flew in. Certainly at this stage would be worse than Mildenhall. Has very little first team experience other than the Accy loan.

He definitely was not good. And he wasn't our youth team player either.

Walker is a relative success given he's Colchester's no.1.

WHo's said that because he is at Arsenal he is a great goalkeeper? In all fairness though you would imagine he has got something about him for them to gamble on him. Also he would provide more genuine competition for Mildy than Puddy would I'm sure.

You're making my point for me Some claiming he'll go to Championship sides on loan etc. Look at the PL academies who regularly fail to produce players for the first team - Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City etc. and look at where the players in their youth systems end up playing. One or two in each year group 'make it' in the Championship or abroad, but the vast majority end up playing L2 or in many cases lower, with some ending up abroad in obscure countries. Don't get me wrong, maybe Macey is different. The below average 4 game spell at Accrington suggests to me he probably needs time to develop. Certainly needs to play senior games before he ends up as the answer for a L1 side.

Gashead, it worked fine, I got your point and sarcasm straight away ;-) I think it was the "but, but, but" that clinched it for me!

Good call, interesting that he's apparently out of contract soon, as I assume that means he could sign for us permanently if he impresses during his loan spell?
