I note that the charge to Sainsbury is still outstanding. Don't say that Terry the simpletons want to believe we're debt free I am not sure where people got debt fee from anyway. It was clearly said the MSP loan was off the books anf the rest of the debts would be cleared over time

Thanks for confirming that Dwayne Sports are a Private Company, I do not have the time to confirm that but is was obviously the case. I lived in Jersey for 5 years and am well aware of why companies are set up in the Channel Islands. There is nothing wrong in it, but at the moment I fail to understand the reason for doing so.
I have spoken to a lot of Gasheads and the majority of them believe that the MSP loan has been paid off and BRFC are no longer expected to clear it. The £3+m has not disappeared it is just residing in a different companies accounts. I will be asking a question at BRFC's next AGM as to whether we are paying any fees/interest etc on that money?
I also expect that the "consultants" are on the books of Dwayne Sports and I'd love to know if this also involves any fees etc to BRFC.
Of course there are very good reasons for having a Channel Islands Company - privacy from prying eyes on some matters for a start. Also, the debts which were paid off in BRFC 1883 are residing elsewhere - but they are not owed by BRFC 1883 as Companies House accounts confirm. If there were to be fees/interest being paid then Dwayne Sports would be responsible for 92% of those.

I note that the charge to Sainsbury is still outstanding. To cover legal fees which presumably have not yet been assessed/agreed and are limited to £200,000 if my memory is correct? hardly worth worrying about!

What it looks like then is that we've swapped one group of people who we owed money to for another group of people! Until i see evidence of actual investment being made by the new board i will be unconvinced. Do Dwayne sports now own the mem site? Are they accruing further debt by paying non football related salaries thus eroding the equity in the mem? Did the money higgs and co received also get parked here as debt? Who knows, we are taking everything o n faith at the moment. Which is no different than it's ever been at Rovers? NH ran up £10m+ of debts and finished up taking out a wonga loan to keep the club afloat I can't recall he gave a blow by blow account over what he was doing. Certain posters will try and convince fans Wael's simply transferred all the debts/loans to Dwane Sports and he's earning a nice rate of interest but none of us really know what's going on, as I said earlier would the Al-Q's really get involved in Rovers just make a million or two, or do they really want to make us a force in the footballing world? If they were just in it for a quick return wouldn't they have taken the £250K offered for DC's services and also let MT leave rather than make him one of our highest paid players? I also can't see the Al-Q's will want a poorly run debt ridden business on their CV's/books that doesn't seem their style, although you sense a few posters find that hard to believe! I and I believe no-one else is saying/hinting/suggesting Wael is "earning a nice rate of interest" IF the loan is held by Dwayne Sports.
As has been said, if any interest is involved, then it is probably being accrued until paid off much like the previous owners. The main difference as far as I can see is that the previous owners were going to be hard pressed to clear the old MSP loan whereas the new owners appear to have the "resources" to cover it. If The Mem is worth £10+m then at the moment there is no problem.
With regard to financing UWE, are the original "consortium" still interested in providing part of the finance?

Lots of self congratulations appearing here when probably only a handful know the actual truth.

I'm not accusing the Al-Qadi family of trying to rip off anyone. What I am concerned about is whether they were persuaded to buy Rovers without being aware of how much cash would be needed to carry through the whole project and do it properly. I'm not sure they realized what a shambles almost every aspect of the club was and how much work it was going to take to even achieve the most basic changes let alone build a new stadium. Steve Hamer said as much when they retired TTT and talking of the lone wolf approach. He looked pretty watered off

Back to the subject of stadium upgrades......I was surprised how small BCFC s home crowd was yesterday. Was the capacity reduced or something ? Take away the 1300 from wigan and that only leaves 16,300 ish ! A £47m stadium investment (?) And millions spent on the squad during the summer ,first game of the season ,in the sunshine, after talk of Europa league football coming in five years and they only get 17,000 ......that's nearly 10,000 empty seats. Surely Steve Lansdowne is going to feel a little disappointed in that turnout That's only 6000 more people than were at the campsite for the final game last season......and there were no away fans there either ! £50m odd for just 5000 more home fans......he must feel robbed. ©You made that up 2016 :-D 11 minutes to appear copied onto OTIB ....not bad.....

Meanwhile it seems tickets for the West Enclosure are now completely sold out for league games this season, assuming the seats have all gone as well that's the whole stand sold out, that must be a first?

Went to the online ticket thing and whilst there are no west enclosure tickets for the Oxford game they appear to still be available for other league games. However on all the league games I looked at there are NO SEATS available in any stand. Whether that's due to the replacement south stand not being ready or all tickets have gone I don't know......though I did think the southwest stand was being kept as individual game ticket sales rather than season tickets. Tickets are available for the first 11 games online......but the more popular looking games will sell quickly.....so don't hang around kids.

The top tier of the new stand isn't open yet but the bottom tier was open which i think made it a 21k capacity. I expected them to have almost 20k there yesterday, just goes to show if we do get the uwe there won't be much between us.

Yes ,but BCFC did get the third biggest crowd.........well out of the three teams with the initials BCFC Birmingham city (championship) had 19,833 Bradford city (league one) had 18,558 Bristol city (championship) had 17,635 Still it's not a bad crowd for a team that's not been in the premier league.
