It was mentioned elsewhere that the new kit won't be available to fans before the CE Sabadell match. Does anybody know what kit Rovers will play in? Since the basis for the relationship between the clubs is the quarters it would be good for each team to play one half of the match in their quarters...maybe the team will wear the Macron kit for the first time?? Any information appreciated

Info from the club about both the kit & the tour seems fairly limited at present, given there's 500+ fans likley to make the trip you do wonder if the club having any open training sessions/meet the fans etc or just turn up, play the game, and that's it for the fans who've made the trip.

No problem. They play in blue and white quarters. We could switch to white and blue quarters for this match.

If we do get our kit in time the idea is for us as the away team to play in the quarters as it will let the home fans see the away team in THEIR colours, and vice verse next year when they come here.

Why doesn't he club just release the new kit this week? Whilst it's normally on the fun day having it late this year, due to the Sabadell our makes it awkward, and are any fans really going to miss the fun day just because the shirts were released a week before hand?

Catalonians!
The friendship could end pretty rapidly if you call them Spaniards. That's a bit like calling a Bristolian Welsh!

I think the club has scored an own goal with the revealing of this seasons kit. We all know that the manufacturer has changed, but to keep the new kit under wraps until 1st August when we have the open day is a bit strange. You like to see what you are buying before purchasing. Maybe all could be revealed in Catalonia. To go there with no normal strip would be an insult to CB Sabadell and the 500 or so gasheads who are making the trip. What will the club do if fans don't like the new home and away strips? Time for a revealing now please Bristol Rovers FC!

I will find out tomorrow. I am off to Barcelona first thing in the morning. Meeting up and staying with EspanyolGas for a few days before heading up to Santa Susanna at the beginning of next week and then on to Sabadell next Tuesday.
I must remember to sort out tickets for the pre match reception - couldn't believe that they had all gone when I picked up my tickets for the match. Also couldn't believe that over 500 match tickets had been sold!!!!!!
Look forward to catching up with some of you on foreign soil.

I would think you could use either form, eg I am a Catalan, I am Catalonian. Be interested to hear what Espanyolgas has to say.

That sounds a good idea. I don't think it will be very professional if we turn out in our training tops and shorts as pre-season friendlies to date so the question remains if new match kit not being worn what kit will we play in - last years, last years away or something lent to us by Sabadell??
