Did anyone suss out the rules to allow this? I heard that the away end has to have sold out? I know Steve Hamer was very keen to have as many beam backs as possible, due to the monies taken in the bars, but I can't see more than two or three next season, if the sold out rule is correct.

I think the only requirement is the permission from the home team.

Unless they were to take a cut of profits made at the beam back? Would certainly be profitable for both teams for some of the midweek games where fans would love to watch the game but maybe can't due to work commitments and the time it takes to get to the ground in question. E.g. if x amount of people definitely won't go regardless of whether there is a beamback at least this way they'd get something. Obviously I'm only suggesting this approach for games we may want a beam back but haven't sold out our away allocation. For those that we have sold out then of course I wouldn't suggest giving the home team any cut of our takings from the beamback lol

A) The opposition has to agree with it and gets a cut of the profits.
B) I get told well in advance so I can buy all the tickets.

The away end needs to be sold out and rovers have to pay ITV 5k to send down a camera man.

I believe it's Channel 5, certainly not ITV. You don't have to sell out the away end as well (see Cambridge). Although it's unlikely a club will agree without a sold out away end.
