Of course it looks Conference standard, that's because the new owners are using sticking plasters to mend a worn out, unfit for use stadium and will be doing so, probably, for at least two seasons or until the new ground is built. But what do we expect? They are trying, I presume, to maximise income streams, meet the demand for tickets and show us fans that they are on the ball. I know it doesn't look brilliant but well done to them for thinking we need to improve the Mem as a short term measure. The increased cost of doing so should be reimbursed by the additional gate income generated. And TBH I don't give a monkeys about what the other half think. Let them fill in their pages in OTIB because it only shows how worried they are. And if we don't like it don't read it, I don't! Well done the board! UTG! True. A lot of moaning but just changing a bog seat would still have been more than the last lot did to the ground in over 10 years. We did get a new carpet in the bar last year actually.

I tried to avoid comparing with the last board but as you say in one close season they will have done more than the other lot did for a decade....with the likelihood of more to come. UTG!

Looks like you'd need a tetnus jab before taking a seat in that.

Yer 'tis One day, in the far distant future, we can tell our grandchild that, yes, we did actually have a seat in that thing long, long ago, and chuckle. Which will be quite easy if they are sitting in it next to you watching a match.

What did people expect ? It looks much the same as the last time it was there and having had a season ticket in it for a year it was a far from terrible view. Much better than some fence panels and a couple of tractors that we have had to look at for the past few years.
Yes it is only a temporary fix to add a few more seats until we get something better, I am glad they have not spent a fortune on it as the money should be going on a permanent solution.
It is there because we have sold every other seat in the ground ....... Take note all those objectors who asked why we need a new stadium.

I believe there's an opening ceremony before the Swansea match with Danielle Radice cutting the ribbon.

I'm assuming that these tents will be used at the UWE for different events if and when it gets built

Now we have two tents! Wonder how many 'tinpot' comments there are on the Rovers Appreciation site 'OTIB'. I personally couldn't care less what people think at the end of the day it's a way of maximising our profits and giving more Gasheads the chance to watch our fantastic team. I wouldn't mind if we put up another the other side of the south stand too. You don't look at the stadium when your watching your team you look at the football.

Yer 'tis I think the photo angle doesn't do it justice. It will look better when it's packed to the rafters. Hopefully next season I will be one of the lucky 300 punters , could be the hottest ticket in town. As for the new improved south stand - looks fkin premo ,even when it's empty. Enjoy the Mem while you can , I think we will be gone within 5 years.

It's just a short term solution to a problem. Last season, many fans were unable to get a ticket due to the lack of capacity. And the extra capacity will bring in extra revenue.
