Apparently we have a team in place which includes a Wembley chappie and other experts. We have a proven chairman. We have one of those wealthy foreign businessmen. What we don't have is any info/news/proof that anything whatsoever is being done to move us closer to the single most important aspect of our progression. We love to hypothesize about plan Bs and speculate but if these new guys could back up the initial impression with some substance, it would be much appreciated. Other than the team holding their own after a few games I have Jeff all to get my juices flowing. Not much has changed really, we still have silence on the stadium and we are still shopping in bargain basement when it comes to transfers. We aren't in any danger of going into admin anymore but would still like to know where that debt has been parked!

Hush hush news just in.....current UWE site is now ear marked as the new training site, being also used by uwe students in related studies. New stadium site very near by now to be pursued with a greater flexibility for future growth and more space for non match income streams. Stadium footprint to allow for 55,000 though obviously not initially this would be 32,500. Stadium site to include hotel ,retail, cinema, and housing and direct link to motorway and ring road.
Don't ask questions...I have no answers to give.

It's ok to joke about it now.. Let's hope we don't find ourselves in a relegation scrap otherwise there will be tears. That being said, it seems as though we are so numb towards sh1teness that we could probably bounce down to the conference again and some would still see the positives!

You have to admit the Confrence was fkin awesome. loved being "Big Dog" in the pound. Next season in the Championship we are going to be a mere "waterant"

The other developments will finance the stadium.

I see some logic to this, and it would explain the long delays and deathly silence, but to be honest I'd be very disappointed if true. I think few people would be able to get excited about starting everything from scratch - even if the new plans did have a cinema and bowling alley attached!
I've been dreaming about father, son and grandad sitting together in a shiny new stadium for years now. If a deal can't be done with UWE I don't think it will ever happen.

A different site for with a new stadium design wouldn't be bad as long as there is not another nimby battle There wasn't a NIMBY battle over UWE was there? There were a decent number of write-ins opposing the development, mostly from Cheswick Village, iirc. I guess they were along the lines of, 'I've just moved into this brand new building developed on a greenfield site, and I strongly object to the idea of a brand new building being developed on a greenfield site next door.

They show affection for our club, and Wael comes across as a nice bloke; but if they don't get a site which they can develop and make lots of dosh I wouldn't be surprised if they moved on. All we can do is enjoy it whilst it lasts!

A huge amount of business is based on reputation. Whether you're a plumber or a Jordanian banker. Wael won't want a reputation as someone who failed to deliver (the new stadium) because it will hurt his reputation and thus his business. Have faith, that for any number of reasons, we will get what we need.

Have faith, that for any number of reasons, we will get what we need. Given so many staduim projects at Rovers have failed over the years I doubt the UWE failing would hurt anybodies reputation , although you'd hope with due diligence Wael would have been confident he could deliver the stadium given how far the plans had been advanced .
