If anyone is worried about the club missing out on revenue you could always donate to the FFSC or buy an extra pasty and pint at a game as others have suggested. The club will be fined if we send out a weakened team, so sending out the youth isn't really an option!
What about if we sent out the regular subs and the rest from the youth team? Surely as long as the majority are part of the first team squad we wont be breaking any rules.
I'm not sure what the FL class as a 'full strength' team as often younger players are tried out in the cups. I think you're probably right, first team squad players would probably be OK

A bit random I know but why don't we just let the manager pick the team?

Sorry I forgot you aren't allowed to discuss anything on an open forum that is someone else's decision.
I trust the players are currently having a nice relaxing massage in a top Lincolnshire hotel?

Perhaps they're doing it your way? Get up at 5.30am for a 7am meet. 4 hour coach journey so get to the ground for lunch. Half hearted warm up as the players are already shattered. Get done 4-0 and the forum explodes with many calling for DC's head. Then home again after a completely pointless 16 hour trip. Or we could stay overnight.

You missed out the fish and chips on the way home. That sometimes makes it all worth it.

Buy a pastie from the club and they will make more profit than someone turning up to the Reading game.

I dont know why you are putting too much emphasis on this anyway, in the grand scheme of affecting football results this comes way down the list imo. Wael could even fly them in his personal jet, he is a billionaire isnt he?

I don't really see how you can argue it doesn't have a massive effect on the team.

Taking the players away from their families for a 3 hour drive up the road might have a negative effect on their moral.

I think as a footballer you want to be as professional as possible so going on little day trips and getting done over week after week is not going to help morale. Also at most I'd say it would be 15 times a year and that's pushing it. If players can't handle that then maybe they should find a new vocation?

Training hours at most clubs aren't that strenuous during the week so I'm sure they cope

Still boycotting this. Nothing wrong with the league cup, though.
