I told you this was a pointless cup.
Portsmouth made 11 changes the other night, where there were lots of dodgy results with players are being rested. How can they do that when you cant make more than 6 changes for an even more tinpot trophy?
As I said before, anything apart from the league and FA cup should be scrapped. Play them behind closed doors if they insist and treat them like the training game that they are.

Apparently you can still ring the club for tickets.

"In this comp (efl cup) I think if they want to make it seeded then the un seeded teams should have home advantage. Makes it a bit fairer." This is what happens in the German Cup (they only have one). The higher placed teams always play away. Does that not kill off the opportunity for big away trips for smaller clubs? Not so bothered re: League Cup (yes I know what's at stake tonight), good idea for small club revenue etc. but if they introduced that in the FA Cup it would kill a bit of the enjoyment for me.

The Cup here is not taken seriously unless your club gets to the semi final. Most cup games are played mid-week as well. It doesn't matter what the format is as the final is always Bayern v AN Other. The other factor is that Germany is far bigger in size than England which makes travelling away for fans of the smaller clubs difficult and expensive. For example, it takes between six and seven hours to drive from Frankfurt (central Germany) to Berlin. Munich to Berlin could take you eight hours (if there were no traffic problems). It makes the two hour trip to get to Chelsea look pretty easy.

I think the seeding is a nice idea for the League Cup, not sure about FA Cup though.
