I've just noticed Solihull Moors are now 3rd in the Conference. Early days, but a good showing for their first ever season at this level.
Anyway, Marcus Bignot has been their manager for the past 5 years. Remember him? He was only with us for a year in 2000 before Ian Holloway stole him for QPR, but in his time he managed to get the equaliser against Everton in the League Cup, where we then beat them on pens, and scored a memorable very very early goal against C*ty.
So they are now my new favourite Conference side, having lost Grimsby.

Hogg scored against Everton in the first leg, and Bignot scored in the return.

I remember that overlapping goal at Trashton, first minute of the game. One of the most memorable games i've seen.

It seems that Marcus is a Darrell Clarke in the making. He says he wants to be a league manager, I can think of no better route than to come to us and coach along with Stewey and Yatesy!
What a formidable team that would make, and all under the watchful eye of DC.
Go on Steve Hamer, discuss it with Darrell and make the phone call; you know it makes sense.

You could be on to something there. It all depends on the kind of bloke he is though. DC doesn't get people just because their cv looks good.
