Am I the only one starting to notice a good midfield partnership between Chris Lines and Ollie Clarke over the games? I have thought in both the 2 previous home games they've equally deserved man of the match. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree and think its great they are kicking on but..... I hope we still strengthen in the centre mid department as if i was being cynical you could point to reasons why (not taking anything away frm them)
1. Played well but was against cardiffs reserves
2. Oxford were poor especially centrally and ther was an awful amount of space centrally when they went down to 10.
3. At scunny we looked good untill we went 442 and then got overran
But they certainly hav started very well which i didnt expect frm o.clarke tbh....fair play to them both, gr8 start to the season! Utg

They do look good so far together. Ollie Clarke is surpassing my expectations of him.
I do worry if Lines gets injured though. I really think he is class, even at this level he looks a class above at times, driving through from midfield. Even Joey Big Bollocks must be impressed!

Lines is the one player in the team for whom we haven't got a ready-made replacement. As regards surpassing expectations James Clarke has been a revelation in the last two games.

I'm not overly surprised by James Clarke though. He seems a model pro and composed on the ball, doesn't panic.
