I doubt it his family are billionaires and they've bought the club not Wael individually from what I can gather. DC will strengthen the squad but he won't bring in a player over another player just because he's a name or costs more which I'm glad of. Any new players need to fit the Darrell Clarke way and I'm happy with that.

If DC went to Wael and said I want to spend x amount on a player and it was reasonable enough, I'd think Wael would have no problem with this. The thing is DC doesn't want to or doesn't think he needs to go out a spent a load on players. I think you and many other underestimate Steve Hamers role. Wael maybe the owner but this is Hamers gig, from what I've seen so far That could actually be for the better as at least Hamer does have some experience of running a football club.

After all Easter, Lines & Lawrence were hardly cheap unknowns?

it will be a freebe - no money available Alex Freebe, ex of Southport? Cracking defensive midfielder, hell of a gamble though

It never happens but it is continuous and constant? Ok then I think what you're trying to say is that it never ends? Which, if you favour a pragmatic approach, is a good thing. I propose an EvolutionNotRevolution hashtag on next season's kits... Yeah I suppose what I should have said is that evolution could potentially take forever with little to no discernable progress. Well, that's certainly a possibility, but for me that's a better option than a revolution which ends with a despotic tyrant. At least "little to no discernable progress" will mean we've still got the club we know and love

Alex Freebe, ex of Southport? NO! Not him...it's Arjen Freebe. He's Dutch and so will pay half his own wages himself.

Is Andy Bond still a free agent? Not sure. However Alan Gow is unattached. Would you have him back?

Yeah I'm not saying we should bring in only freebies I'm saying we should bring in the right players regardless of how big a name they are or how much they cost ( within reason).

Some short memories on here, it wasn't even a year ago that we were on the brink of financial ruin (or so a lot of us inferred). Some of the melodrama surrounding Wael and Hamer is school child behaviour by people impressed by strings of numbers preceded by a pound sterling symbol. Get a grip. Consolidate the club this year and let us push on next season. In Darryl, Wael and Steve I trust.

I feel like sticking to our guns is better. Start spending and end up where we did last time no thanks. We've hardly done badly on a small budget.

Ican Senseit. The Korean? Great central midfielder. Buzzing about this one. Will he be in the squad tomorrow? I heard we've put a bid in for Hungarian central defender Bighoof Uppitch. I'm not in the know it's only a rumour but you heard it here first. Also not ITK, but my Dutch Uncle says we're looking closely at the Feyenoord reserve goalkeeper, Hans A'flappin

But imagine where we could be if DC was given a competitive budget for Div 1? Unless it's just kidology by DC then he seems to be admitting we need 3 or 4 additional players, if so, then surely it's better to sign better players than we have at present than the likes of Moore & Hartley who just seem players of similar, or even lesser, ability as the present Div 2 squad from last season.
