Football forums are fickle fings.
A couple of weeks ago Ellis wasn't up to the job in L1, shouldn't start games, should be used only as an impact sub, and should take his place in the pecking order below Gaffney.
After two good games against higher-league opposition, he's now the star of the team and ahead of Matty.
I rated him when he was rubbish, still do now he's good, and still will when he's rubbish again.

A third goal always looked possible while Ellis was on the pitch. Shame when he was taken off. Fabulous night, but a far more important game on Saturday. Just hope Ellis is up for it.

Harrison has never lacked ability but has lacked either discipline, application or belief.
It's hard to see how he won't have a massive boost as a result of this so its now up to him.
Good luck to the lad I hope he comes good because he seems a likeable sort.

I can't inagine many saying he is definitely not good enough for league one. Many have probably been of similar opinion to me in that there has never been any doubting Ellis's ability. But would he be able to consistently play to his potential as oppoposed to once every so often. This start to the season has probably been as consistent as he has ever been for us. I just hope he keeps it up.

Which was the game he came on as sub this season and looked totally lost when he got the ball a couple of time, Oxford? In that game he looked totally out of his depth in Div 1.

Well played Ellis, thought he was tremendous last night; must start at Swindle alongside Matty T.

Rovers played Chelsea quite a compliment in the second half by bringing on the usual first choice strikers......... :-D

Anyone who's kept tabs know how Ellis is getting on at Ipswich?

I think he’s injured and out for another month or so. Perhaps others know more. UTG!

Was not expected to be fit until the end of this month at the earliest. Damaged ankle ligaments in training in late September.

Taylor, bodin and harrison have all run into injury problems since leaving rovers. Could be some sort of gypsy curse?

Well Nichols goal scoring stat for Rovers are better than Harrison's for Ipswich. Nichols has an average of 1 goal every 53 games. Harrison does not have an average because he has never scored
